How Do Weddell Seal Treat Teens

There are two types of species that treat their young differently. One of them raising their young to thrive despite challenges. The other, killing them off or never equipping them with the skills to survive. In Antarctica, Weddell seals are born in the harshest environment on earth. It is the coldest, windiest, and driest place in the world, made up of 98% ice and 2% rock. In a span of three years, one female Weddell seal gives birth to two pups on the isolated, icy shore of Antarctica. The mother raises the pup without any help from the father. Seven to ten days after the seal is born, it learns how to swim. Americans live in one of the most prosperous nations on earth. The average household income is $81,400 per year. Each year, there are over four million babies born in the United States. Despite the inconvenience of having to raise their pups single-handedly, female Weddell seals do not give up. They teach their young to endure the dangers presented under the waters and on the surface of Antarctica. In order to avoid becoming imprisoned under the ice, the pups learn how to navigate the waters and find air holes on the surface. They are taught to break through the ice with their teeth to create new air holes. To protect the holes from freezing over, they are trained to plunge back through their holes into the numbing waters of Antarctica. Many babies that are not aborted are never taught how to survive the difficulties of life. They are always given whatever they want, leading them to a misconception that life will be like this.
