This is frequent sound the reader can imagine when reading the book The Enemy by Charlie Higson. This book was an extremely tumultuous and roller coaster like book in terms of the readers emotions throughout the book. The golden piece of literature starts off with telling the reader that anyone over the age of sixteen is infected with this disease that turns grownups into zombie like creatures. It starts off in London a short time after the epidemic has taken hold of the civilizations and has created adult zombies. The children have formulated squads to fight off the evils of these diseased parents. After that, something had seemed suspicious with David King based on what Maxie and Ollie said and they convinced the rest of the group to leave and follow a girl named Brooke who brought them to the Natural History Museum, where other squadrants of children are. The book closes with Saint George talking about how he feels he is gaining more power and they are becoming more intelligent and gaining an advantage over the children. Thinking that he wants to destroy and munch on every last child on the planet. My opinion of this book was that it was very breathtaking and had tons of action in the storyline which made the reader never want to close the book even when you finished a chapter, and have your parents are yelling for you to come downstairs for
