The Humpty Dumpty Circus

This is the first stop motion made by Albert E. Smith and J. Stuart Blackton in 1897. It shows the movement of a toy circus of acrobats and animals like using magic. Smith said that they used his daughter's set of small circus dolls, that had jointed limbs to keep balanced and move.

The Humpty Dumpty Circus is the first short that used stop motion technique by using jointed limbs dolls to make animation. It absorbs this techniques from filming then improved and applied them in animation well. This skill makes things vivid.
