...The domain name info is a generic top-level domain (gTLD) in the Domain Name System (DNS) of the Internet. The name is derived from information indicating that the domain is intended for informative Internet resources, although registration requirements do not prescribe any theme orientation. The info TLD was a response to ICANN's highly publicized announcement[citation needed], in late 2000, of a phased release of seven new generic top-level domains. The event was the first addition of major gTLDs since the Domain Name System was developed in the 1980s. The seven new gTLDs, selected from over 180 proposals, were meant in part to take the pressure off the com domain.[1] The info domain has been the most successful of the seven new domain names, with over 5.2 million domain names in the registry as of April 2008. After the September 11, 2001 attacks in the United States, the Metropolitan Transportation Authority of New York switched to the easier to remember mta.info website to lead users to latest information on schedules and route changes on the area's transportation services. Even in 2013, a website, Current Score info, was formed to provide current score of Football and Cricket across India. ICANN and Afilias have also sealed an agreement for country names to be reserved by ICANN under resolution 01.92.[2] info is an unrestricted domain, meaning that anyone can obtain a second-level domain under info for any purpose, similar to the com, net or org domains. This is in contrast...

...within the formal communication networks of business. Formal communication networks are a flow of information and ideas through the command hierarchy of a business. On the other hand, informal communication networks also exist and ironically have become major sources of business communication. This happened with the advent of social media, increased reliance on technology and the inherent limitations of the formal communication networks. Within these communication networks are the actual flow of the ideas and information. Successful business is based on healthy communication and a large part of that is the flow of info and ideas between the top of the food chain down, then back up. This flow has many directions, with the main flows being upward-flowing and downward-flowing. Upward-flowing communication flows from employees to executives, providing insight into problems, trends, opportunities, grievances, and performance- thus allowing executives to solve problems and make intelligent decisions (pg.8). The upward flow can exist within formal or informal communication networks. In the current business world, a savvy group of executives should be aware of this dual existence. To better their business performance, executives should monitor informal communication and welcome formal communication. Just as feedback from customers is vital to the success of a business, so is the upward flow of ideas, information and also suggestions from employees. An employee that feels their...

...Chapter 1 Introduction A roundabout is a type of circular intersection or junction in which road traffic is slowed and flows almost continuously in one direction around a central island to several exits onto the various intersecting roads. The Oakes field Roundabout got its name from Sir Harry Oakes who was a Canadian; one of the rich guys that owned the whole area. The Oakes field Roundabout was chosen because it is the busiest roundabout in Nassau, and it leads into a lot of business areas and has 7 schools in that area, commercial banks and also restaurants. The geography coursework was about the study of traffic movement at the Oakesfield roundabout, in Nassau, New Providence which is located near to the College of the Bahamas. The study was done to fulfil coursework requirement for the BGCSE examination in geography. This study was carried out on Friday 20th 2011. Advantages of a roundabout * Reduces frequency and severity of crashes * Can slow excessive traffic speeds while still improving traffic flow * Reduces Traffic Delays * It is a lot easier to make a U-turn Disadvantages of a roundabout * Accidents may temporarily increase due to improper driver education. * During emergencies, signalized intersections can pre-empt control. * As lines develop, drivers accept smaller gaps which may increase crashes. * Possible higher construction cost. The nature of the traffic using the Oakesfield roundabout varies in intensity from one...

.... Discuss the relationship between patient accounts, data flow and charge capture. Patient accounts are the main component of data flow - they are, in essence, the accounts that finance health care and are the data that "flows." Charge capture is the process of capturing all charges, [though it is often susceptible to "charge capture leakage" - an undercharge for services. Charge capture leakage can be minimized by constructing predictive models for charge capture leakage, and comparing these models to the current state of data flow on patient accounts. In sum, patient accounts, data flow, and charge leakage are the process of healthcare finances. Patient accounts are the elements, data flow is the process, and charge capture is the outcome. The relationship between patient accounts, data flow and charge capture is as follows: in order to provide competent medical billing and collections services in a timely and cost effective manner that will maximize the reimbursement revenue at a competitive market price. This guarantees that 98% of claims are paid on first submission and electronic claims are paid within 5 to 14 days, and payments are recovered on aged claims within 30 days . List two reasons why the HIM Department reviews patient medical records. To make sure the information is complete and accurate and ensures all the necessary forms are complete and signed - sort of a quality assurance function. The HIM department may also review patient records for other reasons...

...INTRODUCTION: The article chosen for the critical review is “ERP Training with a web-based electronic learning system: The flow theory perspective” by: Duke Hyun Choi, Jeoungkun Kim, Soung Hie Kim. The article built strengths from the limitations of previous studies. Based from their range of literatures, they have found a gap in the information delivery system which is the lack of theoretical background. Then, exploration and validation of relationships with its key concepts. Through these boundaries the authors evidently stated their objectives. First, to present flow theory as a theoretical foundation in e-learning domain. Second, assess what student perceptive factors are significant to the key constructs: flow (holistic experience) and attitude towards the learning outcome. Third, develop a comprehensive theoretical framework that can be practiced in the e-learning field. After empirically explored with the help of survey questionnaire answered by the students of the ERP training program supported by Ministry of Korea, the antecedents that revealed directly (learner interface and content) and indirectly (interaction, instructor attitude towards students, instructor technical competence) influence the mediating variables thus affect mastery in ERP usage. Results suggested the inclusion of flow experience as new theoretical background and flow theory as a “promising theoretical foundation”. The article was structured logically and comprehensively. For example, in describing...

...1. List and discuss the barriers to effective communication that managers face. Include specific example of each barrier to support your answer. The barriers to effective communication that managers face that we have found are time, distractions, biases and tools. Time is priceless and should be managed wisely especially when it comes to management. Managers should know their own people in the organization. Managers have to run errand and have a huge responsibility not only for themselves but also to a lot of people they manage. As far as we are concerned, there are few hours in a working a day and days in a week for the people in a particular organization to be gathered in the same place. However, managers can barely find time to communicate effectively to every person in the organization including employees, colleagues, bosses and even customers due to their packed schedule. Next is distractions. In a workplace, it is impossible to find no distractions. Distractions can be in a various types. It can be the employees and customers, telephone calls, emergencies and even company’s crisis. These distractions pull the managers in many ways and directions which can be a barrier towards an effective communication with the targeted audiences. Besides, biases is also one of the barriers found. Managers are also human whom already have naturally developed a judgemental mind since small. So, it would be normal to hear about someone being bias towards a person. It’s just sometimes we...

...Amanda Smith Andrea Sampson ECE 140 – 2697 Video Reflection #1 This particular video discussed how teachers can manage the flow of traffic in their classroom by effectively arranging the furniture in the classroom. Managing the flow of traffic in the classroom is just as important as selecting the needed materials. I have been working in a preschool classroom as an aide since 2009, and this was the first year I was able to give input on placement of the furniture in the classroom. During the summer, I provided the teacher with a general layout of the furniture and the reasoning for the placement of the centers, desks and other furniture. The classroom is free from clutter, the centers are grouped together by active and quiet areas, and the children are provided with a wide variety of toys, manipulatives, books and puzzles. Each center is labeled and the children are assigned a particular center and rotate throughout the centers during the week. Actually, not only are the centers labeled by area but the furniture is labeled with words to help with word recognition. Although this video did not provide me with any new information; it did confirm that the classroom is properly setup to manage the traffic flow. I have had a few years of experience in the classroom and although I was not taught “management of traffic” I have found that I have already been executing and effective traffic pattern in the classroom. The one thing that was suggested to the principal was replacing...

...Problem: Car Services Ltd (CSL) rends motor vehicle breakdown recovery service to its members. It attracts new members through a television advertising campaign that encourages potential clients to telephone a free call number for further information and the opportunity to immediately enroll with a credit card. Members are offered the choice of three levels of annual service contract in descending order of coverage and price: Gold, Silver and Standard. The telephone inquiries come through to a call centre staffed by CSL employees at the company’s premises who are paid a basic salary and a bonus of each new member that they successfully enroll. Located in the same building on another floor is the Car Hospital (CH) team who take the calls from the stranded motorists and arrange for a franchised garage to deal with the breakdown. These garages are independently owned and CSL pay them a fee for every callout that they undertake. CSL has recently (after January 2004) commenced employing trained mechanics on enhanced salaries to dispense technical advice to members on the telephone in the hope that a proportion of the call-outs to franchised garages will be avoided. Detailed information on costs, revenues, business activity and staff is displayed in the following tables. Table 1 Cost, Revenue and business Activity data for 2004 | |Gold |Silver |Standard | |Annual...

...The Architecture Company An architecture company was invited to submit, until the end of February, two proposals regarding two new university buildings. The preparation of a proposal for the first building involves a cost of forty (40) thousand Euros. Preparing a proposal for the second building costs twenty (20) thousand Euros. If the proposal for the first building is accepted, the company will earn one hundred and twenty (120) thousand Euros. If the proposal for the second building is accepted the earnings will be seventy (70) thousand Euros. The final profit is given by the total earnings (resulting from the accepted proposals) minus the total costs of preparation of the proposals. The architecture company has the option to submit no proposal, to submit a proposal for only one of the buildings, or to submit proposals for the two buildings. Any of the submitted proposals may be accepted or rejected. If two proposals are submitted, it is possible that none is accepted, only one is accepted, or both are accepted. In the particular case that both proposals are submitted and both are accepted then there will be severe problems implementing both projects simultaneously implying an extra cost of fifty (50) thousand Euros (to be deducted from profits). There is a 50% probability that a proposal for the first building is accepted. The probability that a proposal for the second building is accepted is 50%. The acceptance of one proposal is independent of the acceptance...

...6. Is it advisable to purchase any of the available 100,000 lbs of grade A tomatoes? (use the sensitivity report from question 2). If so, (a) how much should we buy? (b) How will the additional tomatoes be used? In order to figure out if we should buy and by how much we should purchase, we made some modifications associated with our model. First of all, we need to add one more decision variable, Additional A, which is the amount of extra grade A tomatoes we decide to purchase. Then we need to change the profit formula to subtract additional purchase cost, which is $0.15*Additional A, the deal Gordon had to purchase up to 100,000 lbs. grade A tomatoes. Also, we need to change the constraint for A grade tomatoes from 600,000 lbs. to (600,000+Additional A) lbs. The last step is to add another constraint to make the decision variable Additional A can be no more than 100,000 lbs. When we ran sensitivity analysis, the shadow price for grade A tomatoes is $0.27, which means when the company increases 1 lb. of grade A tomatoes available in production process, the total profit will increase by $0.27. So as long as the purchase price less than the shadow price, company should purchase extra grade A tomatoes. Moreover, the allowable increase for constraint of amount of grade A tomatoes available is 1,400,000. It means any amount of additional grade A tomatoes under 1,400,000 lbs. will be feasible to purchase to increase profit. Thus it is a good idea to purchase whole 100,000 lbs...

...Lab 2 Analysis Sheila Mejia BIAM 500 Prof. Bruning Keller March 13, 2016 Explain the Solver results you obtained for both the initial problem and your sensitivity analysis. The solver results in the initial analysis in my workbook showed that 333 units of the cc7 and 200 units of the cc8 should be produced in order to obtain the maximum of a little over $5 million in profit while still remaining within the given constraints. The constraints included that that MBI Corporation cannot produce more than 200,000 units in its plant and must remain under an $8million dollar budget. MBI Corp. must also meet marketing constraints of at least producing 100 units of cc7 and 200 units of cc8. In the sensitivity analysis we increases the constraints by ten percent and Solver determined that the optimal units MBI should produce is 110 of cc7 and 46 of cc8. Increasing the constraints decreased the number of units produced and decreased the profit by 31%. Thus, the sensitivity analysis helped determine that the current constraints made for a bigger profit while making staying within budget and satisfying other needs within the corporation. Based on the solver results MDI should not increase the parameters of their constraints, at least not by ten percent. What did you learn from the exercise and how is it important to businesses? The lab showed me how analyze a word problem and interpret the numbers using a spreadsheet. It also taught me...

The Voraxial® Oil Spill Recovery System is designed to recover the free floating oil from surface waters and industrial facility wastewater ponds. The oil is separated by a Voraxial Separator into a clean water stream and a concentrated oil steam. The water is returned to the water source, or discharged, and the recovered oil stream is collected in a storage tank. The Voraxial Separator has high collection/separation efficiency for the free oil in spills. The Voraxial Separator has demonstrated separation efficiencies in the 95% to 100% range for this oil condition. In addition to high collection/separation efficiency, there are many other benefits provided by the Voraxial Separator. These benefits include: operation at low pressure, high flow rates, low energy requirements, an open low shear non-clogging impeller, treatment of a wide range of flows, high “G” force, and a compact unit with small footprint. In order to protect The System Equipment against ingress of water on open waters all electrical equipment is designed to meet IP66 standards. IP66 standards require complete protection against strong jets of water...
