International and knowledge As today’s workforce changes, companies are becoming global and high tech. Which is great, it makes it possible to work from a virtual offices and communicated with businesses around the world. The full impact of globalization and technology in the workplace has more companies embrace this and become more diverse. While many of these changes are good, others may not be as positive. Some business owners are figuring out that they have to adjust to the new policies and new guidelines to keep up with these changes. Globalization and technology has change the workplace rules, which has a positive and negative impact. Globalization is the development of an increase in global relations culturally and economically. It has also led to ideas more freely, which has resulted in the creation of international laws and new social movements. The workplace sees a change through globalization, but not all of the changes are beneficial.
One of these changes led to companies hiring workers from foreign countries in order to save more money; this is known as outsourcing. "Why would any manufacturing company pay American wages” Davidson states, “when it could hire someone in China or Mexico much more cheaply?" (1245). An example of outsourcing would be, a company that makes computers can hire people in India to talk to customers that require technical support with their computers. Since hiring workers in India is far cheaper than in America it would make perfect sense to outsource workers for other tasks that can be done without the workers have to be in the office at the same place.

Source 7 supports this argument, and suggests that it made world trade more difficult as it led to the USA not being able to 'expand its foreign markets as rapidly as its production'. However, other factors could also be considered to have started the Great Depression more significantly, with source 8 suggesting that it was due to long-term problems in the economy associated with a lack of purchasing power and the effects of the Wall Street Crash, along with source 9 demonstrating that it was due to the laissez-faire policies pursued by the Coolidge administration. The USA was arguably hit by the Great Depression in 1929 because of the combination of under consumption and overproduction linked to the maldistribution of wealth in US society during the 1920s. Malter ABSTRACT Strategic alliances play a critical role in global innovation. Firms can overcome resource constraints and achieve superior innovative performance not only by using internal resources but also by acquiring knowledge-based capabilities from alliance partners. In this study, the authors investigate how knowledge acquired from alliance partners affects organizational knowledge creation, which in turn leads to innovative performance. The authors propose that the knowledge–innovation relationship is stronger in international alliances than domestic alliances. The results from a survey of 127 German firms engaged in strategic alliances confirm that knowledge creation mediates the effect of knowledge acquisition on innovative performance and that international alliances strengthen the effect of knowledge creation on innovative performance. In addition, the authors find that interfirm cooperation and competition coexist in strategic alliances and that both factors increase knowledge acquisition, though from different motivational bases. ...Through this course I acquired the knowledge to use in different approaches when dealing with a company internationally. I now have a perspective of the international network, and the challenges in the international environment. My first perspective is the component parts of an international company, and understanding internally how it all comes together. Now I see why it helps to identify the company’s strengths and weaknesses, prioritize the company’s tasks to solve them in the right order and synchronize efforts to move in the same direction. This knowledge is important because it gives me an understanding of how to utilize the knowledge behind a product, and bring inside knowledge to everyone on the team I create. I see how it’s not the physical product itself that makes an impact on the market, but how you utilize the knowledge behind the product such as the services and culture.
