0 – 3 Years

Physical Development
New born babies are very limited to the movement and have very little control over their bodies. They rely on movement through reflexes but as they begin to get older they begin to develop crawling, sitting, grabbing, pointing, running rolling, hopping and jumping. As children begin to reach 2years there movement should become more controlled as they hit the age of 3 children should be able to develop some motor skills that will include activities such as painting, colouring and drawings. They should be able to figure out they can hold things and do things on their own.

Communication and intellectual development
Babies will begin to hear different sounds, languages and phrases used around them, as time goes by children will begin to make sounds of their own and by 12months some children will begin to say words which may not be fully clear. By the ages of 1 and 2 children will begin to pick up on words as their vocabulary will expand their they will start and try to string sentences together, by the age of 3 children will be able to speak clearly but will need help with their speech when speaking as common mistakes will be noticed in most children.

Social, emotional and behavioural development
Children will begin to find out their identify and who they are, many children will become attached to their parents at this stage as they begin to do things independently children can become very frustrated with their own performance if things don’t work the way they want it too. As children hit the age of 2 and 3 they will begin to join playgroup and join activities so they will be socialising with other children, therefore if children don’t share toys then tantrums can be thrown in frustration.

Entrenched authoritarian regimes were seen as pillars of the region that rested on their coercive apparatus as well as rentierism to maintain their rule. Thus, it came as a shock to experts when the Arab Spring bulldozed regimes that had been in power for as long as forty years. The hope of the Arab Spring was to eradicate the despotic rulers of the Middle East and replace them with democratic institutions. However, this hope has not been realized as civil war, failures of newly democratic institutions and unscathed monarchies continue to plague the region. Still, the Arab Spring is in its infant stage. The outcomes in Egypt, Tunisia, Libya and Syria remain to be seen while it appears that the monarchies of the region are stronger than ever. Top managers set a good example of ethical conduct, according to 68% of respondents, though only 47.7% consider, to a large extent, that their direct manager is someone with a high level of ethics and integrity. A quarter (23.3%) state that their direct manager may not be someone they see as having a high level of ethics and integrity. This is perhaps reflected in the fact that 54.6% of respondents have been asked to do something at work at some point in their careers that has clashed with their personal values.
