What inspired him to be an author was when he was an "English teacher and he met students that thought books were boring so, Andy started to make little stories to make them laugh and enjoy them". He started writing stories when he was just 6 years old. He writes fictional stories. Andy started to make photo copies of his stories and he would sell them at markets around Melbourne, Australia. When he was 35 his first book Just Tricking was published.
