Reglas básicas que rigen el programa EarthCare:

1. Nuevas iniciativas no pueden ser más costosas de lo que previamente se había presupuestado para mejoras de capital/operaciones
2. No se puede afectar la satisfacción o percepción por parte de los clientes.

Áreas beneficiadas con el programa EarthCare:

1. Ahorro de Energía: Focos fluorescentes ahorradores y sensores nocturnos.

2. Productos Orgánicos. Bebidas y snack orgánicos en todas las aéreas.

3. Agua. Implementación y auditoria de sistemas de flujo bajo en grifos, inodoros y duchas.

4. Programa de reciclaje. Botellas, latas, papel, cartón etc.

5. Programa de reutilización. Cuando el huésped lo solicite se cambian los blancos y no diariamente.

6. Papel. Documentos y publicidad impresas en papel reciclado y utilizando tintas hechas a base de soya.

7. Sustancias Toxicas. Los artículos para limpieza deben de ser cambiadas a no tóxicos, productos naturales.

8. Gestión de Desechos. Dispensadores de shampoo, jabones y lociones hipoalergénicos y biodegradables.

9. Equipamiento: Materiales sostenibles.

10. Productos de limpieza: Elaborados con productos naturales.

11. Practicas Mejores: Reciclado de perchas, check in y check out sin papel, flores y bebidas de cortesía orgánicas, etc.

1. Estrategia de implementación en una empresa perteneciente al ramo de la construcción:

Bodegas, Campers, Casetas de Vigilancia son algunas de las obras provisionales que se construyen durante el desarrollo de un proyecto, y que por su naturaleza se movilizan dos o más veces a lo largo del mismo.

Por la dinámica de la empresa todos los materiales utilizados para la construcción de estos espacios pueden ser reciclados y utilizados nuevamente en otros proyectos.

Los materiales que pueden reutilizase son: Ventanas, Puertas, Tejas, Madera, electrodomésticos, mobiliario, estructuras Metálicas, Bloques, ladrillos, sanitarios, lavabos.

Implementación del Programa de Reutilización de los materiales antes mencionados:

 Preparación y planificación de la Construcción de las Obras

1. Identificar los Materiales a Reciclar y/o Utilizar
2. Informar a la Mano de Obra del Plan de Reciclaje y reutilización
3. Asignar espacios en la obra para la disposición de los elementos reutilizables y no para los no reciclables
4. Delegar a un responsable por los Desechos de la Obra
5. Disponer de avisos de Reciclaje a lo largo y ancho de la Obra.

 Utilizar Sistemas Modulares para la Construcción de espacios Provisionales. Son Livianos, de fácil y rápido ensamblaje y por sus dimensiones se almacenan con el máximo aprovechamiento de espacios.

 Vertederos. Garantizar que las volquetas depositen los desechos en sitios autorizados por el gobierno Municipal.

Dimensión Ambiental:

 Reducción de eliminación de Desechos.

1. Reciclaje adecuado. En la destrucción o desmantelamiento se generan escombros que combinan diferentes tipos de Materiales, no hay clasificación y separación de desechos. Se evita que los camiones arrojen los escombros en sitios no autorizados.
2. Reducción Emisión de CO2. Se reducirán la emisión del CO2 de Equipo pesado como volquetas y retroexcavadoras

Dimensión Social:

1. Generación de Empleo. Para desmantelar correctamente las instalaciones y estructuras en vez de utilizar Retroexcavadores, Bulldozer, o similares.
2. Paisajes limpios. Se reducirán los escombros por lo que existirá menor probabilidad de arrojar los desechos en Lotes Baldíos, Ríos, sitios Públicos, Parques, etc.

Dimensión Económica:

1. Ahorro en Materiales y Equipos. Los costos se reducirán al no tener que comprar nuevamente los materiales y rentar equipo pesado para la demolición. Al utilizar sistemas constructivos de fácil ensamblaje, los tiempos de armado y construcción serán menores.

2. Estrategia de implementación en Tiendas de Conveniencia:

El ahorro de energía es su principal preocupación por lo que la implementación de un programa reduciría en un 20 o 30% de su consumo mediante sensores de movimiento e información a usuarios del impacto de buenas y malas prácticas en áreas de trabajo.

Mientras permanece abierta la puerta del cuarto frio el consumo de energía es mayor, la bodega de la tienda permanece iluminada, el espacio de piso de venta a temperatura de 21 grados, etc.

Se busca implementar por medio de manual de Uso Racional de la Energía y buenas prácticas a los empleados y ciudadanos; además de contar con equipo sensores de movimiento PIR (Rayos infrarrojos pasivos con un 100% de precisión) que apoye el trabajo para la reducción del consumo de energía.

Implementación del programa de Uso Racional de energía

 Identificar el equipo que consume mayor energía
 Identificar puntos dentro de cada área en los que se puede aprovechar el factor humano para este programa
 Platicar con empleados y empresa
 Asignación de aéreas de responsabilidad dentro de la tienda
 Información de controles preventivos y correctivos tanto para las prácticas mejores y equipos de ahorro de energía utilizados.
 Hacerle mantenimiento regular a los electrodomésticos, maquinaria o instalaciones eléctricas.
 Apagar los equipos que no se estén utilizando.
 Adquirir productos recargables y evitar productos de un solo uso.
 Cambiar bombillas a ahorradoras de consumo eléctrico

The past decade has seen a large increase in the number of corporations adopting LGBT-related workplace policies. In 1999, 72% of Fortune 500 companies included sexual orientation in their non-discrimination policies, and only a handful included gender identity.1 By 2009, 87% of such companies included sexual orientation and 41% included gender identity in their non-discrimination policies.2 Over the same time period, the percentage of Fortune 500 companies offering domestic partner benefits increased from 14% to 59%.3 This study reviews statements issued when adopting such policies by the top 50 Fortune 500 companies and the top 50 federal government contractors.
