It can be used as a method to teach ethics, values, and cultural norms and differences and learning is most effective when it takes place in social environments that provide authentic social cues about how knowledge is to be applied. Stories function as a tool to pass on knowledge in a social context. The library club vice president, Reina Mae Pajora, brought her classmates Trisha Alcantara, Louise Guzman, Hasmin Bona and JM Boyles to help her do the storytelling. As the storytelling goes on, the children seems to enjoy the story because we asked them of what story will read and they chose ‘Max takes the train’. We also give a lot of candies for their prize because they are listening, reciting and sharing of what they have thought and that shows that they learned many things about the story. Stories tend to be based on experiential learning, but learning from an experience is not automatic. Often a person needs to attempt to tell the story of that experience before realizing its value. In this case, it is not only the children who learns, but us(storytellers) who also becomes aware of our own unique experiences and background. This process of storytelling is empowering as our effectively conveys ideas and, with practice, is able to demonstrate the potential of human accomplishment. To gain insight into the problem, library instruction environments of nineteen high schools were explored. The schools were selected based on whether their graduates did well or poorly on information-skills assignments integrated in a required first-year college course. The librarians in the nineteen schools were asked to characterize their working relationships with teachers, estimate their students’ information-literacy achievement, and provide data on their staffing and budgets. Findings suggest that school librarians are seldom in a position to adequately collaborate with teachers and that their opportunities to help students achieve information literacy are limited. Students who use a mixture of sources are more likely to have more valid and solid facts than a student who uses all sources from one place. The sources begin to become more repetitive and less factual when they are all retrieved from one place. This also makes it harder for the writer to put the sources into their own words creating a suspicion of plagiarism.
