Picking a major is a very tough decision for many undergraduate college students as they are still exploring and learning about many fields. In my own personal experience I had a very tough time choosing between two different fields that I hoped to expand on and hopefully work in one day. Ultimately with the right advisors and guidance I was directed towards the major that I am currently pursuing.
The first time I thought about what I wanted to be I believed I would grow up to be an astronaut. However as I grew up and matured I slowly started to lose interest in exploring the unknown wonders of space and instead chose to study the unknown wonders found here on earth within humans. Consequently I decided to seek a livelihood in the sociology field. I believed that following this path I would finally satisfy my curiosity about humans and their behavior. Thus upon arriving to college I was introduced to an advisor in my field that would help me construct the perfect road map to graduation. However when I started to ask some questions about my desired career I was astonished about how much information I was unaware of. This resulted in me deciding that this major was not the indicated one for me …show more content…
Growing up with an entrepreneur as a father I was always involved in business in one way or another. I even had some personal business ventures as a child that helped solidate my hidden desire for business. Therefore I decided to let my entrepreneur heart take control as I changed my major to business. The process of changing my major allowed me to meet a great advisor named Daryl Evans. Daryl is a great mentor that helped answer any of the questions I had about my new major and its requirements. He even helped me remake my road map to suit my new majors requirements. Thanks to his wise advisement I was able to solidify my desire to seek a business

If the results cannot be accurately measured, then confident objectivity that the fundamental moral construct even exists or is of any penalty to ordinary people. The Role of Personal Ethics in Psychology Ethical guiding principles shift focus as of late from personal character to organizational ethics. The major focal point of this change is, “…the misuse of power and discretion by individuals performing organizational roles” (Ethics Awareness Inventory, 2006, Introduction). The client-patient association in psychological therapy and clinical practice is the creation of ethical guidelines with the possibility for abuse of control and lack of attention to discretion. The results-centered approach to psychology would dictate the actions of the clinician must be in line with the declared principled rules of the practitioners. Also, ethical perspective recommends that ethical guidelines that support the practice of psychology should seek the greater good for the greatest sector of humanity. Affect of Ethics Application of Psychological Principles to Personal, Spiritual, Social, and Organizational Issues The inventory begins with a quick introduction about the process, applicability, and purpose of the measure (Ethics Awareness Inventory, 2006). ...Assignment #1 – Application of Financial Statement Stormy Night Richard Winsmith ACC557 – Accounting I June 22, 2012 Select either the balance sheet or income statement and explain how the use of it may be applied to your everyday life. In order for an individual to be in control of their personal financial future, it is imperative for that individual to understand their current financial health. They need to be able to assess their financial strengths and weaknesses. One way to achieve this is to create a personal balance sheet. A personal balance sheet is a snapshot of their financial situation at any given time. It is best to prepare a personal balance sheet at the end of a financial period, such as the end of a quarter or the year. A goal of most people is to eventually be able to retire from work and enjoy their golden years. In order to be able to achieve this goal, one must set interim goals associated with saving towards retirement. The only way to know if progress is being made toward achieving these goals is to take periodic measurements along the way. A personal balance sheet is very similar to that of a major corporation; it is comprised of assets, liabilities and owner’s equity. The assets would consist of cash, investments, any monies owed by a third party and personal possessions. The liabilities would represent monies owed to other parties such as a home mortgage, automobile or student loans and other debts...
