I think Makayla starts her literature review with a strong lead. She starts off saying “In the world of graphic design we are still searching for the past.” That sentence grabs my interest and make me want to read more. Makayla does use a quote in her essay. She uses one quote which is “the history of graphic design has been scattered among the pasts of arts, printing, typography, photography, and advertising.” Her essay does go into detail about graphic design but it does not really talk about the job itself and what you should expect if you are to go in Graphic Design. Makayla’s draft does not include every part of the essay yet. The only parts she has in this draft is her title page and literature review. There was only one part of her

...a company should provide their customers products / services of same value with lower price or charging premium prices by providing higher value, which can be done by differentiation (Anon., n.d.). The competitive advantages that Apple have compared to their competitors are the user-friendly interface, first mover advantages, attractive designs, innovative features, and a prestigious brand image. In addition, Apple also has full control over all aspects of their computers including both software and hardware. According to Ferguson (2010) the major competitive advantages of apple is their marketing techniques. Being the first mover in the industry, Apple is able to capture most of the market and build a strong brand image. With the high quality products that they deliver, they have successfully formed people’s perception that a good product should be fairly similar to an Apple product. When such perception has been formed, it will be harder for competitors to penetrate the market. These first mover advantages are the result of their continuous innovations. For instance, they are the first company who produce a computer with stylish design that has no visible bolts. Furthermore, the products that they deliver are always user-friendly and this enables them to capture a larger market that includes non-proficient computer users. As a result of their prestigious brand image, the company is able to maintain their customers’ brand loyalty. Customers are always enthusiastically waiting...

Superbrand Tv Show - "Fashion" Review

...Review Superbrands TV Show – “Fashion” Reviewing the Superbrands TV Show about Fashion made me know about how a brand influences to our brain even just by hearing the brand name and how important the brand name for the public nowadays. People nowadays is more aware to the expensive brand and preferring to wear T-Shirts, Glasses, and etc. just because of the brand name influences in their daily life and how they get so deeply into our minds. At the beginning of the show, they show some kids that are prefer a T-Shirt just by looking at the logo. They were given the same four T-Shirts with four different logos, and surprisingly all of the kids picked the familiar T-Shirt logo, which is the “Nike” logo, just by looking at the T-Shirts. The reason why they picked that is because they feel familiar with the logo and some prestige feeling by thinking of wearing the T-Shirt. They were visited a factory which is the biggest glasses factory that surprisingly produce some of well-known brand such as Chanel, Prada, Ralph Lauren, Miu Miu, Raybean, and others. The first thing that comes to my mind is how can a customer prefer Chanel sunglasses than Raybean sunglasses while they are actually came from the same factory with using the same materials? How is the price is so different and yet we are still prefer for Chanel? The results suggest that as long as a consumer has the opportunity to be exposed to the name of a logo then logo-name association learning is a rapid process. Copyright # 2006 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd. A great deal of effort is expended on creating a logo so that it succeeds in generating a representation in the viewer’s mind that parallels the company’s own concept of its image. Morgan (1999) highlighted how what was once perhaps a simple process of selecting a logo has become a complex decision: And so the design of logos, which a generation ago was simply about finding a neat visual solution to a name, is today a much more complex process, which feeds back into...

After that, we would connect transistors Nodes to Match schematic and Form the Inverter. And then we added the pins, which include vdd, vgnd, vin, and vout pins. The layout was like the following: The next step was to design rule check, which to test if our layout drawing obeys the design rule. When the CIW shows “Total errors found: 0”, our design rule check is successful. Furthermore, we were asked to do Layout Parameter Extraction because the layout we had done only contained physical data. ...term trader will need a computer with good memory and capable speed for online trading of energy at up to the second pricing. If he uses a computer that is short on the needed speed than he could miss out on a good trading price for oil, electricity, or nuclear fuels. For this job 4 GB of RAM and at least 1 GB of hard drive will suffice just fine. But for up to the second price change you will most likely want a processor speed of 3 Ghz. So for this job you want the Ghz of the Erazer but only need the hard drive and RAM of the Slimline. So I would go with a model type that would have those specifications. Which isn't in the above table. Graphic designer: Graphic design integrates computers in virtually every step of the design process from conception to production and in a range of media including print, video, and web. For graphic design 8 GB or more of RAM is preferred and 750 GB of hard drive capacity. Processor speed is not as important as it is with a Term Trader. So 1.5 Ghz is plenty. Knowing those requirements I would be inclined to use the Toshiba Satellite Notebook. Teacher: A teacher does not need anything above the standard hard drive, RAM, and processor speed. The could get by on 128 MB of RAM. Since their job has no certain system requirements than you should go with the cheapest and most comfortable model. If chooding from...

...create a respectable replacement for our beloved "eyes." We were a victim of the IKEA Effect. Then we decided to try crowdsourcing. Crowdsourcing is the practice of obtaining ideas, services, or content by soliciting contributions from a large group of people, or more specifically, an online community rather than from traditional employees or service providers. We submitted a project on 99designs.com, the "world's largest online graphic design marketplace connecting passionate designers from around the globe with customers seeking quality, affordable design services." The service is easy to use. You submit a project on the website with a description of your needs (in our case, a new logo). The online community of graphic artists then springs into action, submitting ideas with the ultimate goal of earning the project fee. Remarkably, for as little as $299, we had access to over 206,000 graphic designers, from all over the world. The result was fantastic, and we received over 300 new and unique submissions. Ironically, we chose a design that did not follow our suggested guidelines (it has no eyes). It turns out we didn't know what we wanted from the start, but we knew it when we saw it!...

The most common method used by companies nowadays is usually advertisement, especially on TV commercials. Companies have to deliver the benefits that customers could seek from their product by telling the economic and psychological benefits in their advertisement. Economic benefits usually refer to those features that are measurable and can be transferred into quantified value among different brands. For example, profit, productivity, etc from the product. Psychological benefits is different from that of the economic benefits, they usually refer to the feeling you can get from the advertisement or product. For example, feeling of excitement when you watch a car racing advertisement. Reason for choosing this concept: Value communication is a very important and essential concept in a company. It is because customers always ignore the value of a company’s product as they are inexperienced customers and affected by the innovative product or they may not be motivated to calculate the product. Therefore, companies need to deliver the value and benefit of different product to consumers, in order to attract more purchase from consumers.
