As Tupac was rising on the charts, he was also making a name for himself in the media for several arrest, including sexual assault and battery. Prior to his sentencing in 1994 for the assault case, Tupac was shot five times, while recording in a NYC studio. Luckily, he survived with minor injuries, and later released from jail in October 1995. After then serving nine months for sexual assault, Tupac was free and able to continue his career. Although he never returned to jail, he still was unable to detach himself from his bad boy image. After leaving a Mike Tyson boxing match at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, we has tragically gunned downed while being chauffeured to an after party. Unlike the shooting in 1994, he was unable to recover from his injuries and pronounced dead a week later on September 13 1995.
