Motivational Problems in an Organization Efficient motivation in the workplace is one of the most challenging and significant responsibilities for management in an organization. Motivational problems transpire in the workplace when the employee’s expectation or values are not satisfied. Motivation occurs when we have some kind of pressure that stimulates us to diminish it by gratifying unmet needs. Managers need to figure out these psychological developments to direct workers into achieving the corporations’ target. Managers need to persuade the employee to get them to want to do the task at hand. People need to be intrinsically motivated to be engaged at work. The future success of a business is concluded on the ability of a manager to motivate employees to accomplish organizational objectives, by making certain the manager recognize, understand, and implement one of the motivation theories to change the motivation behavior.
Motivation
Motivation is the emotional balance of aspiration, perseverance, and determination that is intentionally aimed at accomplishing a goal. It is what drives us to prosper. A form of motivation is intrinsic. Intrinsic is ones contentment and feelings of accomplishment and extrinsic a persons’ aspiration to pass up or accomplish certain kind of outcome for ones actions. As noted by Kinicki and Kreitner (2009), “Intrinsically motivated people are driven to act for the fun or challenge associated with a task … than because of external rewards, pressures, or requests. Motivation comes from the psychological rewards associated with doing well on a task that one enjoys” (p. 155). Since everyone has diverse desires, a manager needs to recognize when there is motional problem.
