”We are moving to California,” my father said. “This is a great opportunity for a better education.” My father had just arrived at our apartment in Queens, New York City from a long business trip. When he told me, I did not know what to think. This must have been the third time already, having to move from Korea to Poland and back, and then from Korea to New York right after. Though I felt uncomfortable moving frequently, it made me learn to avoid attachments to my surroundings. I felt like I had nothing to hold on to anymore; it seemed like I would have to leave everything behind again.
Despite the challenges, these events also brought me to a positive realization of what is important in my life, one being my family. When we lived in New York, my family and I did not have much; however, as a family we were there for each other. My mother, sister, brother and I settled in a single bedroom apartment, while my father was away for business. My uncles, cousins and grandparents lived in the same neighborhood, so we had many gatherings, which drew us all close together. Since my relatives were so involved in my life, I inevitably gained support and guidance from them, which helped me find the second important thing to hold on to, my dream. As I increasingly recognized and valued the support of my family, I gained motivation and focus toward my dream of becoming a nurse.
My mother and grandfather especially influenced me. My mother has been a nurse for many years; vividly observing her work made me realize that I wanted to pursue something similar. Although my mom played a great role in the realization of my dreams, my grandfather is the one who most significantly impacted my decision to choose nursing as my focus. By the time I was in high school, I was in California and my grandfather was diagnosed with cancer. I was told that he was alone most of the time in the hospital, because the rest of the family was working and could not visit. I decided to miss a week of school and flew to New York to take care of him. I did not regret my decision. When I was nurturing my grandfather, I felt like my actions were of a real nurse, benefiting another with positive efforts.
Now that my focus is set, I am eager to get on track for the opportunity to pursue nursing as a career. I hope that college will give me the chance to get started and contribute to the community in positive ways. My experiences and transitions have given me sensitivity to other people’s challenges and the desire to serve with an understanding of an individual’s situation. Ultimately, I am looking forward to encountering new ideas and different perspectives through collaboration with my peers while gaining a further understanding of how I can help people through my chosen career.

Hiring A Moving Company Essay

...Hiring a moving company when moving across the country can often be one of the best things that you can do, mostly because the moving company will be able to take most of the work out of your hands. Listed below are three reasons to hire a moving company when moving across the country. To Avoid Having To Unload On Your Own One of the biggest reasons to hire a moving company when moving across the country is to avoid having to unload a moving truck all on your own. This is extremely important because if you are moving to a brand-new city where you don't know anybody or have any family members living there, then you could end up in a situation where you won't really have any help moving everything out of the truck and into your new home or apartment. As a result, you could very easily end up straining yourself and taking a very long time to get your new home in order. However, when you hire a moving company, they will handle the unloading and you won't have to worry about doing it all on your own or having to find someone to help you in an unfamiliar city. Moving Home Research Paper

...Moving house can be a stressful business. Often emotional, invariably time-consuming and expensive, it's always a major operation. Time and money tend to be in short supply. However, when it comes to packing up your home ahead of a move, there are several things you can do to save yourself a bit of both. First of all, do not underestimate the size of the task. Allow yourself enough time to do a thorough job, and put a bit of thought and planning into it. The first step is to decide what stays and what goes - it's just a waste to pack up and ship things you no longer need. Before you even pack the first box, have a thorough clear-out. Throw away stuff you don't need or want, or donate it to the goodwill store or friends or family. You'll need to decide whether you want to do the packing yourself or to pay someone else to do it. Clearly you save a lot of money by doing your own...

When it rains on weekend and I don’t feel like going out, I can just go down and use the magic door to access the food paradise. Thirdly, the staff at Neil Building is very helpful and friendly. Technical Analysis and Risk Management

...analysis indicator MACD is effective in real trading. We will use the S&P 500 Index as our samples, and our main idea is to find the average return and VaR when we buy at the time MACD shows a “golden cross” and sell at the time when there is a “death cross”. MACD: Before we do the test, let’s start to define the MACD as well as its components. MACD is one of the most popular indicators used in the technical analysis. And it is mainly comprised of MACD line, signal line, and the histogram. MACD line and the signal line are calculated by using the EMA (exponential moving average) function, while the histogram is the difference between the MACD line and signal line. MACD line is the difference between exponential moving averages of 12 day stock price and the exponential moving averages of 26 days stock price. The signal line is the exponential moving averages of 9 day MACD. (12, 26, 9) is the well-recognized moving average lengths used in the industry, but can be altered with other appropriate numbers.  MACD Line = EMA [stockprice, 12] – EMA [stockprice, 26]  Signal Line = EMA [MACD, 9]  Histogram = MACD Line – Signal Line In technical analysis, there is a basic rule to apply the MACD into practice, say when the MACD line up crosses the signal line, the stock price is expected to rise in the short term, while the MACD later on down crosses the signal line, the stock price may be expected to go down in short run. So their cross points are always treated as signals to...
