Muhammed Ali is widely considered the greatest heavyweight boxer of all-time. There may be an argument on a small issue here or there, but overall, there is no equal to Ali. This is due to his boxing career as well as his historical status.
Ali’s professional career spanned an unheard of 20 years. He won 56 of his 61 fights, over half by knockout; this was after an amateur career where Ali went 100 and five. He won a boxing gold medal for the United States in Rome. Ali is the only man to win the heavyweight belt three different times. And he is involved in many of the most celebrated boxing matches of all time.
