...Before the board of directors could make a decision on whether to sell more shares and, if so, how many, the board members felt they needed more information. Specifically, they would like a forecast of the average number of people (family members, guests, etc.) who might attend the pool each day during the summer with the current number of shares. .:. The Cascades Swim Club has 300 stockholders, each holding one share of stock in the club. A share of club stock allows the shareholder’s family to use the club’s heated outdoor pool during the summer upon payment of annual membership dues of $175. The club has not issued any stock in years and only a few of the existing shares come up for sale each year. The board of directors administers the sale of all stock. When a shareholder wants to sell, he or she turns the stock into the board, which sells it to the person at the top of the waiting list. For the past few years, the length of the waiting list has remained relatively steady at approximately 20 names.(…………….) ...Addicted to Video Games When you think of video games, you don’t think of an addiction, but video games can be as addictive as gambling or alcohol. When my son was around 3 years old, I bought a PlayStation video game system and he would sit and watch me play. One day my son asked me if he could play, it was a 2 player game, so I showed him how to play. I would play from time to time, and as time went on he became better and better. It was like nothing I had ever seen, he was a natural. As the years went by and my son grew older, he was playing more games and he had asked for a Nintendo Gameboy. He soon grew bored of it, he asked for a Nintendo Wii for Christmas and Santa made his wish come true. As the months went by, as a reward for doing chores he would receive a game instead of money. Before long, he had every accessory and he had received 22 games. The years passed and again he grew bored of the Wii, so he asked for the Xbox 360 video game system, and of course I gave in. He became more involved in playing games as the years went by. He always would ask for the newest games, the newest wireless controllers, or headsets. He began to play more in the multiplayer online game venues, and had a list of friends from all over the world. He plays the Xbox any and every chance he gets, beating complete games in as little as 4 hours, or playing campaigns in the online multiplayer area for hours on end. When he plays the game so much, it tends to get in the way of his everyday...

...Do You Analyze the Potential Long-Term Impact of Technology? Technology in the world is always changing. This includes technology in the gaming world. The Xbox 360 has been around for about 10 years, and Microsoft has decided to release another system. The gaming system is going to be called the Xbox 720 and this system will be coming out sometime this year. It has been said the Xbox 720 is possibly going to incorporate many new things into the system, such as a bigger memory space, an active internet connection, and better graphics. The CPU (Durango) of the Xbox 720 is estimated to have a total of about eight core processors, identical to previous rumors that have been stated, with each core processor running at 1.6 GHz. Compared to the Xbox 720 its rival the PlayStation 4 runs on eight x86-64 bit "Jaguar" core processors. The Durango is designed to help developers achieve the most powerful CPU. This meaning developers can actually concentrate on not just the content but the features as well. Keep in mind I’m not exactly sure if this information is true, but if it is it will change gaming (Lucci, 2013). I will now get into more features on the Xbox 720, for example some of the new updates. I have to be honest the internet connection was never really the best on the Xbox 360, because I would either lag out of my game or the updates would make me sign out, and force me to update, or I couldn't connect to Xbox live. Well there is no need to worry about either one of these...

...Xbox One vs. Playstation 4 Media (Artifact paper) Mario Palomino Student ID: 1760440 BUSB 340 – Robert Liljenwall Due Date: February 23 2014 What hell is a Nintendo? I got my first video game console in the summer of 1991. My parents purchased it from SEARS for my birthday and at which point I had no idea what it was. A couple of the kids and their parents knew that it was and were shocked that my parents spend $100 dollars on something like that. It was still in the box until one afternoon I came home from school. I set it up in the living room, only room with a television. Popped in Super Mario Bros, this simple 8-bit game would change the entertainment industry. I did not become a fanboy until I attend Florida A&M. Besides my classes and football schedule, I usually spend my free time in my apartment. One of my friends back home told me about Microsoft’s Xbox gave gamers the ability to play against each other and they did not need to be in the same living room. Walked into a Game Stop and walked out with my first console since the Nintendo my parents got me so many birthdays ago. Once at my apartment, plugged everything in and started playing. Completely different from what I remember when I was eight years ago. Xbox became my gateway drugs, from hours of study, from the beating my body would take from football and boredom. History of Sony's gaming console Before Sony entered into the gaming industry they establish Sony Computer Entertainment (SCE) in mid-November...
