...My Most Embarrassing Moment ITT-Technical Institute My Most Embarrassing Moment What is an embarrassing moment? I would have to say, it is when things go not as planned. My most embarrassing moment happened February 1983. I was a junior at W.P. Davidson High School. I was a member of the N.J.R.O.T.C. unit there. My unit was participating in the Senior Bowl halftime show. We were responsible for bringing out a balloon of Popeye. We were to march out on the field carrying Popeye. Popeye was to be laid down at the fifty yard line. We were to raise him up on cue. We were instructed to then march off the field with him. All of this was to be done in a fully packed stadium. We marched out on the field without incident. The wind was a little strong, but not bad. We laid Popeye down on cue. My best friend decided to curl his line on the ground next to his feet. On cue we began to raise Popeye. My friend’s foot got caught in the rope. My friend rose in the air with Popeye. I tried to unravel him from the rope. I finally got hit loose. Everyone in the stadium started to laugh. The game was televised on national television. We were also seen on local television. My family and friends all watched the game and, of course, the halftime show. I have never experienced anything like that. Now I look back, and I...

...------------------------------------------------- My most embarrassing moment My Most Embarrassing Moment Baum, Narrative Essay Have you ever had a moment in your life that you can just not forget about? I have a time in my life that I have never been so embarrassed in front of so many people. Some things are easier to remember, and some are easier to forget. I can remember this day as if it happened yesterday. It was a Friday night and I went to eat at Bonnie & Clyde’s pizza with my family for my brother’s birthday party. Out of all nights the place was packed and there was not one empty chair in the building. We sit down at the table and we enjoy the birthday. We eat pizza, cake, and everyone was having a good time. I thought I would be nice and start to clean up everyone’s plates and cups to make some room on the table for everyone. They give you the pizza on a round silver tray, so I started to pile up all the plates, cups, and silverware on to the tray. As my mother asked me “do you need any help?” I told her no I got it and started to walk up to the counter to drop off the tray. I knew that with all the stuff piled onto the tray that it was going to be too heavy but I wanted to try and carry it anyway without any help. As I am walking the tray up their stacked full I tripped over a step in the floor and I am sure you can guess what happened next. I dropped the tray everywhere and I feel to the floor. The trash went everywhere along with...

...My Moment of Failure My moment of failure was learning to drive. Learning to drive was both fun and nerve racking. I always wanted to drive; I knew to get anywhere I would need to learn to drive. Of course I knew ''everything'' and found out I didn't. Mom let me practice up at the Lafollette Middle School parking lot (I fussed the whole time about it) I was going around in circles in the back parking lot and learning to park. Before we went home she wanted me to park beside the fence line and back up, well, there was a pole on my side so I was trying to watch the pole, not paying attention to moms side. I ran into the chain linked fence. Running into that fence was pretty much an embarrassing and scary moment! Finally, getting to drive we was going up a steep mountain and I was going around a curve and there was another car speeding down my way. When realizing I needed to ''stop'', How? I needed brakes. Where are the brakes? I then realized I didn't know enough about the pedals in the floor board. Maybe going up a mountain the first time you drive was not the best idea. Learning from mom was not a good idea either. She gave bad directions or maybe I didn't understand what she was saying. She would tell me to go one way and I wasn't real sure what way she meant. I wasn't in her head! So that is when I started to get aggravated, and by the time I got what she was trying to tell me, we had past the turn up and instead of turning around we kept going till we realized that...

...I should have known that after closing my tab, closing my laptop, and staring at the ceiling nothing would ever be the same. A concept started to grow in me. The seed was planted after that short video, and every waking moment of my existence helped it grow and blossom. Phil had just posted a new type of video he called "Why I Was A Weird Kid" I remember helping him come up with the segment after he told me a rather alarming story from when he was 6 and he tried to control birds with his mind. Why do I live with him again? Anyways, like a good flatmate, I watched his now fully thought out and edited video as soon as it was posted. About half way through, my soft smile that always lingered when I watched an Amazingphil video slowly turned...

...The Chicken Incident Everyone has an extremely embarrassing experience, that seems horrifically terrible at the time, but upon reflection becomes a completely hilarious occurrence in their life. This episode can be anything from falling down the grand staircase in high school, to splattering a pan of chicken in the walk-in cooler at work. This is mine. I had been working for the Culver’s Franchise Association for virtually three years, in which my primary job was drive-thru and other “front house” positions. I occasionally worked in the kitchen, but not enough to know the entire swing of things that well. This particular night was a pretty ordinary night at the restaurant. I was situated on drive-thru, and was also scheduled to close that same position. As closing time rolled around I found myself bombarded with a plethora of tasks, and to accomplish them I needed to be able t! o access the sink. I walked over to the sink to find an enormous bucket filled to the brim with water and chicken. This bucket needed to be carried to the cooler for the night, but whoever left it there had forgotten about it and it remained in my sink. Well, instead of calling for my co-worker to carry the chicken to the cooler, I decided to take it upon myself and help them out. Looking back in hindsight, I now ask myself, “What was I thinking?” I hoisted the pail of chicken and water out of the sink and headed towards the cooler. As I approached the cooler I rested the bucket on a nearby shelf...

...The dignified student swaggered onto the glorious podium and stared out into the smiles of the welcoming crowd; it was his moment of triumph and the time had come. However, a repeated and rebellious shout from the spectators broke the thunderous roar of the crowd. “Great job Baby Cakes! I knew you could do it. Mommy is so proud!” As pink seas of embarrassment were summoned onto his cheeks, the student did not know whether he had missed his moment of glory or lost all of his precious dignity. Majority of children have experienced a situation such as this at least once during their childhood or teenage years. Somehow, as it was expressed in “Surefire Ways to Repulse Your Tween”, no matter the generation, parents have always been able to express their “cheesy love” for their children through countless unique and...

...embarrassment. I remember in the eighth grade, I was a member of my middle school drama club, which led me to a roll in the school play. After endless rehearsals it was finally opening night, and the auditorium was filled with a rumbling audience. Little did I know I was getting ready to face my worst nightmare. With my first appearance on the stage I tripped, crashing to the stage floor. I recall a few seconds of my mind racing,I felt my face starting to glow red and was ultimately humiliated. It seamed as-though time had stopped and paused everyone around me. The audience was silent, a numbing stillness throughout the auditorium. As I raised myself up off the floor, I caught a glance of my fellow cast members faces and busted out laughing. I lost it! Followed be the audience filling the auditorium with echos of laughter. As I fought to regain composure my lines fell out of my mouth, and the play continued . I faced a nightmare of humiliation, and by laughing at it I was a little less embarrassed.. When I was fifteen, I found humor in the aftermath of a ATV four-wheeler accident. Myself, along with my brother and a few other friends had gathered at my grandparents farm for a day of trail riding. As we were finishing our ride or the day, we rode into the backyard area of my grandparents house, I noticed a huge mound of dirt, where my grandparents were having a storm cellar...

Miss Devasquez had seen Shelly grab more than one boy by the cock. What would Miss Hartick say if she saw that? Shelly knew that it would be a risk to try it, but she wouldn’t be able to live with herself if she didn’t test it out. She knew how she would do it. She thought she had a legitimate way to get a hold of a boy’s piece. If she did that, then she could say that another feel was just too tempting. After all, they were only human, right? ...“The littlest feet make the biggest footprints in our hearts,” - unknown. My little brother, Isaac Reed Wall; eight pounds ten ounces and twenty and three fourths inches long, was born unexpectedly on September 22, 2011. He was supposedly a “rupturing appendix.” Approximately four years ago, my stepmother, Amber, began having stomach problems. She had never experienced this grueling affliction before in her lifetime. Initially, she sat the pain aside, thinking of it as an insignificant circumstance. So we continued on with our everyday lives, unknowing of her actual condition. I spent a lot of time with my stepmother, se we shared the same amount of surprise at her bizarre condition. Some says she had to just sit around the house because...

...“What is my embarrassing moment?” And I will answer it starting my story on March 11, 2015. It was the day our principal gave the results in UPCAT that makes me sad. On the other hand after classes I received a text message from my sister congratulating me for passing the PUPCET. From that day on, I was thinking when will I go there to enroll. Since I knew that I passed, I never opened the PUP website which is my mistake. It was April 25, 2015, when I’m surfing the net and accidentally opened the PUP website. That time I realized that my enrollment day had already passed, it supposed to be on April 20, but I remember that on that day I was in the hospital to visit my newly born nephew. Therefore my father accompanied me to PUP on April 27. When we get there the guard told us that parents are not allowed inside, which makes me worry because I’m afraid to talk to other person without the help of my father. On the first booth, the students there are arranging the credentials to its proper formation. When the student asks me, “Why are you late for your enrollment day?” And I just told him that the internet connection was not working so that I opened it late. While arranging my credentials he told me, “What course you want to take?” And I told him, “I wanted to take accountancy but I know that there is no slot available.” And he asks me, “What are your rank in your school?” I answered him, “I was the valedictorian of the class but we’re just 35 and it’s just 1/3 of the class is my foe for...

...Naw Hpaw Dr. James Sanders ENG101, 7:00 am 8 June 2016 Disappointing Moment in My Life Having worked three years as coordinator at the Karen Peace Support Initiative (Burma), a non-government organization that helps resettle displaced persons, I firmly believed I could communicate effectively with grass roots people and my superiors. But, sometimes life is full of disappointment. It came on December 11, 2012, as I sat in my office writing a report on training I had recently completed for some villages. Suddenly, in a very loud voice, my manager called me into his office where he was checking a report I had given him previously. As I stood beside him, his hand clutched a cup of coffee, while the other held my report. I remember the black jacket and shoes, and glasses, he was wearing. After several minutes, he put my report down and exchanged the coffee cup for a bowl of noodle soup. I thought he would explain why he called me, but he said nothing. It became very embarrassing just standing there. Minutes passed and still he didn't speak. Frustrated, I spoke to him politely as possible and asked if there was anything I could do or comment I could make. No response. As I stood close alongside, it became more difficult to smile. In fact, he began to frighten me, and his strange grin unnerved me, even as he kept eating his noodle soup. It was scary and very embarrassing. Finally, he spoke. "I need your wholehearted support in carrying out our project," he said, to which I replied...

...two paragraphs?” My nightmare came alive! I swallowed hard saliva thick in my mouth. When I was a little girl, I used to dream about becoming a great dancer. I remember I used to ask my mother to take me to all the dancing contests in town because that was what I loved to do. I loved to dance. I never gave much thought or worry about reading a book. For me, that was absolutely boring. I didn’t care about improving my poor literacy skills. I believed, that a dancer did not need to have good writing or reading skills. At that moment, I was only concern about how I was going become a better dancer. Time went by, as expected, and my dream of being a dancer changed. When I started high school I discovered my passion for numbers and problem solving. The world of mathematics became my new passion. Again, I continued thinking that I didn’t need to have perfect writing and reading skills, until that day. In 10th grade, I was asked by the professor to read two paragraphs in class. As I started reading, I was so nervous that I misread leaders as cheerleaders. All my classmates started laughing at me, including the professor. I could feel my cheeks turning bright red, and my eyes tearing. I just wanted to run out of that place and never come back. That was one of the most embarrassing moments in my life. I still can’t imagine how I confused or misread those two words. But it was also an awakening call for me. Since that day my journey in literacy begin. At that moment, I knew and recognized...
