KRATAK SADRŽAJ:
PRVI ČIN

1.prizor:
Elsinor, terasa pred dvorcem.
Oni ga pokušaše upitati nešto, no duh iščezne.
Zato sigurno i dolazi Hamletov duh.
Trojica ga htjedoše zadržati, no pijetao kukurikne, pukne zora i duh nestane.

Kornelije i Voltimand odlaze.
Svi odlaze osim Hamleta. Hamlet priznaje da je to vrlo čudno, no želi i on vidjeti očeva duha i razgovarati s njima.

3. prizor:
Polonijeva kuća, razgovaraju Laert i Ofelija.
Idi / Sad svojim poslom.“

4. prizor:
Terasa. Ulaze Hamlet, Horacije i Marcelo. Čekaju duha. Iz dvorca se čuju trube i top. Hamlet kaže kako to kralj luduje i nazdravlja. Hamletu se to gadi jer ih zbog takvih stvari drugi narodi nazivaju svinjama i pijancima.
Dolazi duh. Hamlet je uplašen, a duh mu pokazuje neka ga slijedi. Horacije mu govori neka ne ide, no Hamlet želi razgovarati s očevim duhom.

5. prizor:

1. prizor:
Polonije i Rejnaldo razgovaraju u Polonijevoj kući. Rejnaldo odlazi, a ulazi Ofelija.

2. prizor:
U međuvremenu, u dvorani kralj i kraljica dočekuju Rosencrantza i Guildensterna. I kraljica ih moli neka saznaju to.
Guildenstern i Rosencrantz odlaze, a ulazi Polonije.
Kralj i kraljica tad odlaze, a nailazi Hamlet čitajući neku knjigu. Hamletu dolaze Rosencrantz i Guildenstern. On smišlja kako će uz pomoć glumaca i predstave natjerati kralja da prizna ubojstvo njegova oca. „Ja hoću stvarnije / Da imam razloge – i zato valja / U glumi ščepat savjest grešnog kralja.“

TREĆI ČIN

1. prizor:
Razgovaraju u dvorcu kralj, kraljica, Polonije, Ofelija, Rosencrantz i Guildenstern.
Kralj govori kraljici neka i ona ode jer su oni pripremili susret Hamleta s Ofelijom, a on i Polonije će skriveni slušati njihov razgovor. Kraljica se složi i ode. Ofelija će tobože čitati neku knjigu, a kralj i Polonije će se skriti iza zastora.
U samostan – idi, i to brzo. Zbogom!“.
Hamlet odlazi, ostavlja zaprepaštenu Ofeliju. Prilaze joj kralj i Polonije.

Kralj Klaudije naglo ustaje i odlazi s predstave. Dolaze im Guildenstern i Rosencrantz. Žele opet izvući odgovore iz Hamleta, no on i dalje šuti o svemu tome. Hamlet pita Guildensterna zna li svirati frulu.

3. prizor:
U dvorani kralj razgovara s Rosencrantzom i Guildensternom.
Kralj ostaje sam. No ipak neće ništa učiniti, pričekat će još na osvetu. Sad odlazi majci, a Klaudije ustajući reče: „O, riječ se diže, ali miso gmiže, / A riječ bez misli teško k nebu stiže.“, nakon čega ode.

4. prizor:
Kraljičina soba, ulaze kraljica i Polonije.
„O, jadna ludo ti, nametljiva / I nesmotrena, zbogom! Držah te / Za nekog većeg. Primi svoju kob.“

1. prizor:
U dvorani su kralj, kraljica, Guildenstern i Rosencrantz. Njih dvojica nakratko izađu kako bi kralj i kraljica razgovarali o Hamletovu sinoćnjem ponašanju. Kraljica kaže: „Lud / Ko more i ko vjetar, kad se hrvu / I nadmeću.

2. prizor:
Guildenstern i Rosencrantz nađu Hamleta. Ispituju ga gdje je Polonijevo tijelo, no Hamlet im ne želi ništa reći. Traži da ga odvedu kralju.

3. prizor:
Sva trojica dolaze pred kralja.
Svi odlaze, a kralj ostaje sam. / Učini to nam ,kralju Engleske, / Jer on mi kao ljuta groznica / U krvi bjesni, a na tebi je, / Da izliječiš me.“

4. prizor:
Ravnica u Danskoj. Fortinbras s vojskom nastavi dalje, a naiđu Hamlet, Rosencrantz, Guildenstern i ostali.

5. prizor:
Soba u Elsinoru; ulaze kraljica, Horacije i jedan plemić. Dovodi Ofeliju pred kraljicu. Ofelija pjeva neku svoju tužaljku koju nitko ne razumije.
Dolazi i kralj, žali jadnu Ofeliju.
Ofelija ode pjevajući i dalje svoje tužaljke.
Laert kaže kako će naći krivca za očevu smrt i sestrinu bolest. Kralj se slaže: „I hoćete – a onda, / Kad saznate, gdje krivac jeste pravi, / Tek njemu ćete raditi o glavi.".

6. prizor:
Horacija dolaze posjetiti neki mornari.

7. prizor:
Kralj i Laert razgovaraju.

Drugi grobar ode, a naiđu Hamlet i Horacije.
Hamlet pita grobara za koga kopa grob, no on ne želi reći.
Laert u afektu skoči u grob, a tad prilazi Hamlet i isto to čini. Potuku se u grobu, no ubrzo ih razdvoje i izvuku.
Hamlet bijesno odlazi, za njim Horacije, a kralj govori Laertu da će ubrzati svoj plan, a kraljici kaže neka pripazi na svog sina, te nadodaje: „Živ spomenik će dobit ovaj grob / I onda čeka mir nas blagi, lijepi, / A dotle neka strpljivost nas krijepi.“.

2. prizor:
Hamlet i Horacije razgovaraju u jednoj sobi u dvorcu.
Ulazi i Osric, nosi Hamletu kraljevu poruku o dvoboju i okladi.
Dolaze kralj, kraljica, Laert, Osric i ostali s mačevima i rukavicama. Donose i boce s vinom.
I Laert pada. I Horacije htjede popiti otrov, no Hamlet mu uze čašu i baci na pod.

Dakle, Hamlet govori i o nama i našoj stvarnosti.

O DJELU:

Silverdale Personal Statement

Summer Vacation

...My Ideal Summer Vacation A warm and sunny afternoon last day, I was in a deep thought. I was thinking, if I would be given a chance to have a summer vacation without worrying about the expenses, maybe it could be my ideal one. This thought triggered me to ask myself, “What would be my ideal summer vacation looks like?” To start my visualization, I would like to spend it in a place afar from the noisy streets of the city. A place where the only sounds I can hear are the chirping of the birds, the waves crashing on the shore and the laughter of my family. In that place, the trees are dancing gracefully and flowers are waving gently with the wind. In the distance, the shore is filled with sand so white, crystal clear water and with porpoises on the sea side. On the top of the hill resides our home, a small bungalow type but filled with so much contentment and joy. Inside of it are simple things to suffice our needs. Upon entering the entrance door, you will see the clean and tidy living room, with a window on the right that offers a beautiful sight of the blue ocean. Beside our home, there stood a tall and old narra tree that gives us shade during the day. Flowers of different kinds and varieties grows around the yard abundantly. Then, I can see the endless sky above with shiny shimmering stars blinking at night and in the water, it seems the unreachable stars are within my grasp. In a distance, I can see the fire keeps burning from the bonfire we have made, and beside it,...

...History of nursing I entered nursing initial to have a reliable means of income. Nursing at the time was is large demand and I felt as though this was my way of insuring success. I completed my LPN in a technical education center and graduated feeling less than prepared for the requirements that were to come. I soon took a job were I did home visits and found myself becoming more compassionate for the patients that I would see. My ideals changed and I had a feeling of duty to the welfare of my impoverished patients. There were days that I would have to piece together 4X4 gauze with tape to create kurlex.  I began collecting and dispersing supplies from others who donated their supply once they completed their treatment. This created a sense of gratitude and loyalty between both my patient and myself.  As I continue to move along in my career goals I have maintained a sense of loyalty to this ideal. This is an ideal that my grandmother tried to convey to me from the beginning of my journey, as she to was a nurse even after she retired.  Now, for the first time I have been required to read the history of nursing. Reading these stories has opened my eyes as to what nursing was and the pains it took to get to were it is today. I had no idea that nursing was ever looked at as a role for those who could do no better with their lives. Nor did I realize how passionate and committed these people were.  Clara Barton, although not a nurse, developed a key organization, which...

A New House Decision

...Much thought should be given and taken into account on whether to purchase a home. The decision to buy a home is a very big and important step that should be entered into very carefully. A new home purchase is one of the most significant decisions people will make in their lifetime. There are many factors that can affect one’s overall decision to buy a home. When people consider making the jump from renting to owning, sometimes they mistakenly consider only the cost of the rent versus the cost of the mortgage payment. Unfortunately, some people make the decision to buy a home without considering these factors. In order to determine how much housing I can afford, I must factor in many things such as location suitable for raising a child, savings, other debts, personal preference, and income. Therefore, I have decided to purchase a home and will apply some of the ten principles of economics to ensure I’m making the right decisions along the way. Utilizing some of the ten principles of economics such as people face trade-offs, the cost of something is what you give up to get it, and people respond to incentives will help shape my decision so the home buying experience can be a thought out process altogether. Other essential factors that must be included are the marginal benefits and marginal costs associated with buying a home. Purchasing a home is a major decision that will require a thorough examination of my finances, job stability, and the strength of the economy looking ahead. It...

The ideas that I plan on investing in consist of clothing designing, income property, flipped-homes, and valet parking accounts. The ideal situation for me, is to make more money without physically working outside of my actual career job. My family is really my main focus when I look to advance our income situation. I have two children currently and I expect to provide a lot more than what I had growing up. The biggest challenge is for me to become so stable, that there is no “panicking” when money is needed. First, I most understand their attitudes towards health and food. From past experiences and research, I have acknowledged that students and professors at college and universities like UM are relatively conscious about health issues. Most of them know and affirm that healthy patterns go in hand with a “mix” of food advantages like nutrition, quality, taste, and affordability and convenience (in most cases) together with physical exercise. Odysseus The Odyssey: A True Greek Hero

...Odysseus from “The Odyssey” is referred to as a true Greek Hero by many and is studied by English Classes around the world. What The Odyssey is about is the hero, Odysseus, who is trying to get home to Ithaca after winning the Trojan War. The war took him ten years and the voyage home is taking him ten meaning Odysseus has been gone for a total of twenty years. Odysseus is in fact a true hero, yet he does have flaws through either fulfilling, or failing to fulfill the following, arête, eudaimonia, and hubris. A perfect example of Odysseus not fulfilling arête is when they see Elpenor in The Kingdom of the Dead and he says the following: “Don’t sail off / and desert me, left behind unwept, unburied, don’t, / or my curse may draw god’s fury on your head” (Book XI 79-81). Elpenor was part of Odysseus’s crew and he died when he fell off of a building and broke his neck. Odysseus and his men did not have time to bury Elpenor because they had to leave to visit Hades. This is a perfect example of Odysseus violating arête. Even though they had a place to be they could’ve easily buried Elpenor, it is in a way hospitality. Ideal Life

...Some people say that your "Ideal Life" is nothing more than a fantasy, somewhat like World Peace. Michelangelo once said; "The greatest danger for most of us lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low, and achieving our mark." This is probably true for most people, but there are still some people out there who have wonderful goals and dreams, which will probably never get to see any of them, come true. I just hope and pray that I am one of the lucky ones! With out our dreams what do we have to live for? When asked what my "ideal life" situation would be, I had no option but to admit that I did not have a clue. But the more that I think about it, the more that I realize that maybe I was wrong, maybe I know what I want, maybe I am just afraid that I wouldn't be able to achieve my goals, But what's the point of goals if you don't have to strive to reach them? If I could have my "ideal job", it would be a High school Teacher, or something along those lines. I really want to be able to help someone in the way that people have helped me. So therefore, my "ideal career" would have to include the opportunity to help Children and Teens. I feel that with all that I have been through, I would be able to help kids because I would be able to relate to them, and know where they are coming from. There are so many kids out there who do not have anyone to turn to, and if I could just be that person for one child, it would make my life worth living. I always...
