Dr. Valerie Woodruff, a dental speaker, inspired me to provide public access to health care by talking about her volunteering experience in Nepal. I was inspired by her achievements and hope to find similar opportunities in my future. Thus, I hope to participate in NYU’s global outreach program so I can help other in need. I also want to broaden my understanding of public health issues, and study the impact of social, economic, and cultural factors on oral health.
