Dear Lord Mayor Beckett,
I would like to organise a festival in London to celebrate London’s cultural diversity. In the letter ahead, I am submitting a proposal to you outlining my plans for the event.
London is mixed with so much uniqueness, the most brilliant of which are its people. This festival is very important in London and has many goals such as it needs to help people to clasp and encourage that uniqueness we each carry, and to understand how at the same time we are one and one is all the same, that multiculturalism supports/advocates the idea that maintaining our different cultural identities can “enrich us and our communities.”
“The very fact that we are equally distinct, and that we share a legitimate right to exist in our own skins and souls, make us one people bonded in humanity.”
Our surrounding society is very diverse and it enriches our lives. Unfortunately, the differences among us have separated us. Imagine how boring life would be if we were all the same! Many of today's discrimination have their roots in thousands of years of human history.

Recognising our similarities and appreciating our differences can allow us to overcome prejudice and discrimination and work towards a more peaceful and productive world. Multiculturalism celebrates diversity by allowing us to value our individual heritages and beliefs while respecting those of others. Respect for others' cultural values and belief is a central part of cultural diversity.

My festival is called “Seeing is Believing.” It will take place at Southbank and it’s venue will be near the Thames. It will occur for 2 days near New Year ending at 12:00 p.m. on the 31st of December.
