TechTarget is a company of considerable size. TechTarget is a sizable company. Situated in Needham, Massachusetts. The company has more than 400 employees in the high-tech media field. Theses employees are located in three primary locations Needham, San Francisco, and New York .the difference of this company is that employees are permitted to come and go as they please. Also the company believes in hiring the best employees in the market, and them giving them the freedom and autonomy to do their jobs. The can work from they houses if they need it, because the can work using their cell phone, and email, but if you are thinking that they don’t have goals, the company set to their employees with quarterly goals that they must meet. The failure to meet targets is no acceptable in TechTarget.

My reaction to this no attendance plan is that this can lead to several problems when the company has to meet their goals. The employees need to go to their offices to be sure that they perform the job for which they are paying. Also that can have son problem when is time to pay to their employees, because they cannot prove if that person is working their full hours of work. This can lead to the company losing money. By pay extra money for a few hours that the employee does not work. I think that this “no attendance” plan is too simplistic. Because like already said, the HR does not have any control of its employees and in my opinion the manager is not doing his job properly.

Companies that used this no attendance plan, if they have a good HR manager and if they explain to their employees. How they have to work the goals they have to meet. Even if I think that this is not the best way to have a control of your employees, TechTarget prove that this plan it works. During its ten years of operation, company revenue has steadily risen. This result may be a signal to other

Pregnancy: a Long. Eventful Life Experience

...Pregnancy occurs everyday world wide. Many women dream of the day they can start their own family. Although some women enjoy pregnancy, it can seem like the nine months take forever to come to an end for some people. The nine months of pregnancy are equally divided into three trimesters. Pregnancy, an event of developing a baby, is separated by months and trimesters and is a long, eventful life experience. Months one, two, and three are the first trimester and include weeks one through twelve of a pregnancy. During week one of pregnancy, the egg and sperm join to make a cell called a zygote. The zygote divides multiple times and the bunch of cells move towards the uterus. Then during the second week the dividing zygote, now called a blastocyst, goes into the uterus and burrows into the side of it. During week three, part of the blastocyst will develop into the placenta that will help provide the baby with nutrients. It will also produce a hormone called HCG that will stop the woman’s menstrual period and make the body produce increased levels of estrogen and progesterone hormones that will begin growth of the placenta. The fully formed placenta will be the life support system for the baby (Dattel 13). In week four, the heart and lungs of the baby will begin developing, and the baby will have a heartbeat (14). By week five the baby is approximately 0.5 inches long, and the arms and legs will appear as short stumps. At the time of week six the baby’s heart is beating eighty times...

The Little Rock Nine Analysis

...Out of five hundred and seventeen students, only nine dared to stay. These nine would soon change the United States forever. The Little Rock Nine were by far the bravest people in history. Those nine were Ernest Green, Elizabeth Eckford, Melba Patillo Beals, Jefferson Thomas, Terrence Roberts, Carlotta Walls, Minnijean Brown, Gloria Ray, and Thelma Mothershed. They were the African American teenagers who risked everything for equality. Out of the hundreds who wanted to, they were the only ones who stayed. Five hundred and seventeen students were there at the start, but it quickly changed to eighty, then to forty-two, then to seventeen, then to ten, then to nine. Many of these students dropped out because they were scared, and were told that...

Crime Data

...and although unpleasant and scar these are realities people have to live day to day in these cities. The other I chose for this paper was Atlanta, GA although I do not live there it is close by and it is a part of my new surroundings and frequent it a lot. Aggravated Assault The crime I chose to use as a comparison is aggravated assault. The area that had the most reported incidents was the metropolitan are of Los Angeles. Los Angeles metropolitan are had a reported seven thousand six hundred and twenty-four. The metropolitan area of Atlanta only had two thousand nine hundred and sixty-five. These numbers mentioned before were a whole total. The statistics per a hundred thousand inhabitants is significantly different. In the metropolitan area of Los Angeles, CA per one hundred thousand inhabitants there was a total of one hundred eighty-nine and in the area of Atlanta there was a total of two hundred and five. The amount of inhabitants plays a huge role on the percentage Although not sure if it is a great thing, it is definitely good to see that in statistics both places have been going down in the area of aggravated assault. Since the year 2001 in Los Angeles aggravated assaults have gone down significantly. In 2001 Los Angeles had a reported thirty-three thousand and eighty aggravated assaults and in the year 2013 the amount reported of aggravated assault was only seven thousand twenty-four. In the city of Atlanta the...

12 Angry Men Essay

...In Reginald Rose’s play ’12 Angry Men’ the jurors not only let their prejudices affect their opinions they have towards the accused, but also their opinions of each other. Jurors three, ten and four show strong prejudice against the accused purely as he is from the slums and claim that he is guilty on this point alone, whereas juror five is more reluctant to think badly of the boy as he also grew up in the slums. Many of the juror’s prejudices against people from the slums make juror five too nervous to initially speak or express his opinion and his opinion is not taken as seriously because he is seen to be just trying to defend the accused as they both grew up in the slums. Many of the jurors also do not take juror nine seriously and do not believe he will have any valuable points to make purely because he is an elderly man. Conflict is started when juror seven changes his vote. As he originally stated that he wanted to get out of the jury as soon as possible to watch the ball game the other jurors have the preconception that anything he does will be a strategic move so that he can leave, rather than doing what is best for the case. Throughout the play juror three makes comments about his son and towards the end it becomes clear that he was being prejudiced towards the accused purely because it reminded him of his son, who he does not get along with. Most of the jurors are prejudiced towards the accused based on the fact that he has grown up in the slums, some prejudices favourable...

Guessing the Card Game

...Each card has a number on it between one and nine. Then all of us place our cards on our heads so that we can only see our opponent’s cards but not the three cards we pulled. Our objective is to guess what cards we have ourselves. The first person to do this wins the game. Throughout game play, each player draws a question at random from a stack of questions. Then each player answers their particular questions based on the cards that they see from their opponents. As previously stated each card has a number on it between one and nine. Andy’s cards are one, five and seven. Belle’s cards are five, four and seven. Carol has two, four, and six. We are solving for my cards which can be any number between one and nine. The strategies used for solving the problem are inductive reasoning and deductive reasoning (process of elimination.) As questions are answered we are able to remove numbers from the one through nine answer set. When Andy pulls the question card, “Do you see two (2) or more players whose cards sum to the same value? We can ignore his three cards (1, 5, and 7) because we know he could not see them, thus his sum of thirteen would not be one of the sums with the same value. Being able to see Belle’s cards (5, 4, and 7= 16) and Carol’s cards (2, 4, 6 = 12), I was able to conclude that my cars should equal twelve or sixteen. This is inductive reasoning. (a + b + c = 12 or 16) Once Belle pulls the question card, “Of the five (5) odd numbers, how many different odd numbers...

How to Study Smart?

...Joshua A. Reyes English 17: Public Speaking and Debate How to study smart? Ninety-nine percent! Can anyone tell me what this number stands for? This figure corresponds to the average grade an ordinary student craves for. I myself also wanted to reach a grade that is as high as ninety-nine. And, honestly you too dreamt of having a mark that is close to perfect one, right? Yes, of course. Today, people continue to search new discoveries that will improve the human life. This is the scenario that everyone expects—to improve, and so with our grades. Every student is expected to get a high rating, but in reality this ninety-nine percent that we like becomes seventy-nine percent or even seventy-five percent. It is really hard to acquire such high grades, but each one of us can make the impossible possible. Everybody has the capability to turn seventy-five into ninety-five or beyond. But how can we do that? To our teacher, Ma’am Clara Gonzales, and to my beloved classmates, a pleasant afternoon to each and everyone of you. Getting a high grade is difficult to do. However, “difficult” is not a word of a student who studies in a smart way. So, how to study smart? These are two principles I know that could make us study smart. First, “be responsible.” There is a quotation that goes this way, “There is no hard task in a responsible person. Being responsible for me is not being an “all-day and all-night studying” student. Rather, being responsible is being able to...

Andre's Hair Styling

...ACCT310 - 1304B – 07 Andre’s Hair Styling American Intercontinental University Online December 1, 2013 ABSTRACT The following information is going to contain information from Andre’s hair styling. The information is going to detail the contribution margin, the annual break-even point, as well as the operating income. Fixed costs consist of the barbers so to figure that out we must take their nine dollars and ninety cents an hour that they are paid and multiply that by the barbers forty hour work week and then multiply that by the fifty weeks that they work a year and then again multiply by the five different barbers that are working at Andre’s Hair Styling; we then get ninety-nine thousand dollars as the outcome. ($9.90*40 hours a week*50 weeks a year* 5 barbers) = $99,000 which added together is one hundred and twenty thousand dollars. Other expenses for Andre’s Hair Styling consists of the remaining fixed costs per month which is one thousand seven hundred and fifty and then multiply that by twelve months and we get twenty-one thousand dollars a year for other fixed expenses. ($1,750 fixed expenses * 12 months in a year) = $ 21,000 Now that we have done all of that calculations to begin answering the questions at hand we will go from 1-4. 1. The first task is to find the contribution margin per hair cut at the same time assuming that the barber’s compensation is a fixed cost. So we take the following in mind. Andre’s hair styling is charging twelve dollars...
