Although Oneness Pentecostals has been rejected by the traditional Christian church, and it’s teaching seen as a heresy the movement is still prevalent in today’s world. One of the main reasons the teaching of the movement is such an issue is because of their beliefs and teachings on the Trinity. Robert Bowman noted in his article on Oneness Pentecostals “One’s view of Christ cannot be separated from one’s view of the Trinity. Deny the Trinity, and you will lose the biblical Christ; affirm the Christ of Scripture, the Son who was sent by the Father and who sent the Holy Spirit, and you will find that your God is the Trinity.” According to Bowman without the Trinity one cannot truly Know Christ. One thing is certain T.D. Jakes has a lot of followers and is in a position to impact a lot of people. In recent years a lot of conservation has develop about what Jakes believes about the Trinity. Because he was saved and raise in a Oneness Pentecostal church Jakes holds to a Oneness belief that denies the Trinity. For those who are less discerning the teaching of T.D Jakes can cause a big problem with their faith. Some traditional Christian and Southern Baptist have call for Jakes books to not be sold in lifeway and other Christian bookstore. John MacArthur puts it well in his book the truth war. “For at least a decade now, evangelical best-seller lists have included a steady stream of works by authors and musicians who deny the doctrine of the Trinity. They hold to a distinctive version of modalism. That is the official position of “Oneness Pentecostals” and the United Pentecostal Church International. As these groups and their popular spokespersons have found increasing acceptance in the evangelical mainstream, modalism is suddenly being accepted as if it were a valid evangelical option”. Many people are buying into what they are reading without fully understanding the doctrine of the ones who are writhing the
