Describe how quality management and supply chain management can support and help Pars Food Ltd. to achieve their long term objectives as detailed in the case study.

Quality management focuses on the quality of products as well as the process in achieving it. Identifying the best methods to produce high quality goods will help Pars achieve its long term objectives and focus on its vision of growth through the production of goods which the customers love.
In order to reduce operational costs lean management can be used, its focus is to maximise customer value whilst minimising waste. The flow of production must be steady to allow it to operate to its full potential. Waste is a big concern for Pars and contributes to operational costs increasing. Lean management eliminates waste along the entire production line, instead of specific points which creates less room for error. Through this method Pars are able to ensure quality is maintained. Total quality management is the attempt to maximise an organizations competitiveness through continual improvement. Identifying the best method of production to ensure quality whilst producing effectively means that Pars would be able to depend on the reliability of the product and the process. With continuous improvements total quality management would be able to capitalize on the waste produced and educate employees on methods. Once trained to such a level Pars would be able to improve productivity. ISO 9000 ensures that a business meet the needs of the customers and stakeholders while meeting statutory and regulatory requirements. Within such a market Pars must abide by standards of the Food Standard Agency throughout production. To manage operation costs effectively it is important that the production process is controlled as a whole, with the organization aligned, Pars can work collectively in ensuring operation costs
