...In the Maker’s Eye: Revising Your Own Manuscripts, Donald Murray implies that writers need to create a progression of drafts. Writers have to accept the positive and negative feedback they may get from producing each draft. Murray emphasizes the importance of rewriting. For example, he talks about examining drafts and correcting any errors in sentences that may not relate to the thesis. Also, writers need to be mindful of their audience’s significance and their expectations. Writers will become their own judges when reconstructing their papers. ...frustration I created a new paper for myself, my honest thoughts pertaining to the “Dirt and Noise” blog. Eventually, I wrote the dumbest paper possible, I described how any mother who frets over small issues, like gender specific toys, has too much time on their hands. I went on and describe, when crucial issues arise for these mothers, they will be ill-equipped to handle them. I went over that paper and basically counter-argued every point I had said. By doing this, even if it was for my own personal enjoyment, it gave me confidence to write a draft that was required of me. However, I still had to fix the grammatical errors. I have mentioned this in previous reflection papers, grammar, punctuation, and proper sentence structure are my biggest flaw. I have read the fundamentals of this process over and over. I have reviewed the Purdue website, annotated text on this issue, I have even discovered the helpful grammar websites that show what mistakes you have made. Despite my efforts, I continue to make mistakes. There have been a few cases concerning my assignments, I have allowed this impediment to diminish my work. I will even acknowledge this weakness impaired my writing for the public issue project The public issue project gave me free reign to debate a topic of my choosing. ...Health and Social Care Activities for health and well being Introduction The unit requires me to manage an activity in a health and social care environment which will benefit an individual or a small group of service users, the activity will allow me to work on my communication skills with contrasting age groups. With the activities I have designed I would have to take into account the physical, intellectual, social and emotional side of each child. For this I will be visiting Woodend Preschool where I will be holding an activity to evaluate the children's skills and assessing how well we communicate between each other, by the way our body language comes across. Before making my final decision about the activity, I will have to take into consideration the skills each child has, the facilities, safety implications, equipment and time. Also I have to plan, improve and evaluate my activity; I have also made samples for each of my activities. The preschool and early school years are also full of changes, from three to five the child’s motor skills, language, thinking and social development change dramatically. A01- Suitable Activities and Reasons for Choice I have created a range of activities that would be suitable for Pre-schoolers aged between three to four, at this point in their life the child's development is important, it is a time where the child’s world will be dominated by fantasy and vivid imagination. ...My Approach to Writing By: Michael Czeczeli My goals for this course are fairly simple. My biggest goal for this course is to learn how to write a paper and get my point across without going overboard with run- on sentences and un-needed info. In my career field it’s going to be very important to be able to get my point across with minimal errors and mistakes. Another goal of mine is to learn to overall like writing. When I first started school I couldn’t stand writing papers or sending emails, but since that is the biggest line of communication today I need to learn to love it. I plan on using my writing in many different ways. One major way I plan on using writing is sending emails and letters to customers and employees at work. I hope to be a General Manager or at least Assistant General Manager of a major company or corporation after graduation. I plan to also use my writing throughout my college career. My college career is looking to be a long one since I plan to continue until I receive my masters’ degree in business. A really big use of my writing will be helping my daughters as they journey through school over the years to come. When I set out to write an academic paper I usually set a few goals for myself. The major goal for me is to insure that the reader gets all the information that is intended for them. I want to make sure that they fully understand where I’m coming from without drawing it out too much. Sometimes I have problems with run-on sentences...

...First paragraph. When it comes to writing a paper we should be very careful with mistakes, which we might have. While we writing our paper we might face many challenges. The first challenge which people might face writing a paper it is when there are too many words, which repeat a lot. People usually do not pay enough attention to that because they do not think it is a big deal usually. However we should pay attention to repeat words a lot, it might get our readers be confused and think that we do not know grammar rules at all. The second challenge, which people do face it is when they write too long or too short sentences. In other words, people do not keep sentence variety or rhythm of the paragraphs. When our writing does have sentences that too long or too short, it looks like we write long sentences because we do not know what we are trying to explain. The third challenge is not putting punctuation where it need to be. Without a punctuation the whole paper will look like it is not organized at all and does have a lot of information, which look like a mess. All our mistakes in paper will make our readers think that we just do not know basic grammar rules and it might lead to the situation where our readers will not take our work serious. Second paragraph. It is not so easy to overcome the challenges that we might face while we are writing a paper. The best way of avoiding them is to find them before we will submit our work. ...Andrew Yates Instructor – Anissa Demiter ENG 111 January 16, 2015 Literacy Narrative Throughout my childhood, the idea of having a college education was greatly stressed. As a result, it was my duty as the next generational child, to excel in my studies and achieve a life of prosperity and success. Learning became the basic foundation of my growth. Therefore, my youth was overtaken by many hours spent reading and writing what was known to be correct "Standard" English. I first found this to be a great shortcoming, but I knew that one day I wanted to have a great career. At this time I had no idea what I was going to become but trough reading and writing I had a few ideas. One idea was to be a truck driver or a pharmacist, but I later discovered I liked law enforcement much better. Through the many years of school I have found it very hard to get through my English classes. I found writing to be the hardest subject, but I always gave it my best. Reading I found much easier. I have always liked reading more it is easier than to write something. My mom always helped me through by encouraging to do so. She always told me “son if you just give it your best then you will make good grades”. Those words have stuck with the throughout my life. I strive to do my best in everything I do today. I give it my best. I think the reason I struggled with writing is because I’m more of a hands on person. I have been this way for as long as I can remember. I used to take...
