I interviewed Karen Bredemeier-Brown, because she is the owner and manager at Trail’s End Truck Stop which is located in Rock Port, Missouri. Their story is “to go the extra mile to make that extra mile worth it. We might be at the beginning of your journey, the end of your trail, or somewhere in between. Wherever we fit in, stop in, kick off your boots, and enjoy the peace that comes when you make it to the end of the trail.” Oasis Travel Center and Derailed Diner which is located in Robertsdale, Alabama. Their story here is “We're a little off the beaten path, but worth the detour. Whether you just need to fly in and fuel up or decide to park your caboose in our Derailed Diner for a real meal that's really fun, we'll treat you like first class on your journey.” Her last business is Fireworks World which is located in many places across the United States. Their story is “Fireworks World was born in Rock Port, Missouri back in 1978, when Jim Brown opened up a “little” depot in the parking lot of his Trail’s End truck stop. Much to his surprise the depot did quite well. The fireworks bug bit him. In 1980, Jim built his first air-conditioned superstore and began to look for additional locations. I thought it was very helpful to figure out what her day consists of and if that is something I would still be interested in pursuing. I also thought it was nice to see that not everything is serious and you can find times to have fun or lighten up the mood a little bit. It was nice to hear how she was able to balance life after her husband and owner of the businesses had passed away and how she was able to transfer from one position to another without much trouble. I feel like after interviewing her I have a lot to think about as to if I want to still be a manager or if doesn’t fit with what I want in my life how should I go about
