I woke up one Saturday morning anticipating to play Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. As I powered on my Playstation 3, it notified me to check my network connections. I quickly ran to the router to see what was wrong. I noticed that there was a red light next to the globe that connects to the internet. My instinct was to ask my dad what is the problem with the router? He simply told me to wait a few minutes as there is a possibility the internet provider is fixing it. Half an hour goes by and I became really impatient. I took it upon myself to solve the issue. I went to the router and pressed all the buttons on the router, but it seemed that I made the problem worse. Then I unplugged and plugged the power to the device thinking it would reset the problems. My family would often ask me for help on problems they had with their devices. They assumed I was naturally talented because I grew up surrounded by electronics. I started to enjoy the feeling I got from helping my family. Intrigued in all the new technology, I would research about them. I learned from research and realized what really goes into making a good piece of machinery. Not only did I benefit from helping others, but I attained an extensive knowledge about technology. It is a world filled with creativity that goes beyond and that allows me to continue learning. The power of the such devices can help solve problems and make life easier. Being fascinated in helping society develop into a better place, I would love to further my knowledge by studying computer engineering.
