SeaWorld decision to stop breeding them because of animal rights activists. Scientists are disappointed, that they would lose the opportunities of learning new things that could help killer whales in the wild. In SeaWorld there is only 29 orcas at the parks in Orlando, San Diego, and San Antonio. These orcas will be displayed for decades to come, and will be available for study for scientists. They are 1 to 51 years old. No other marine or aquarium in the world has SeaWorld’s experience for maintaining, and breeding orcas in a captivity.
