ABSTRACT
Conducting business in a foreign country is not a simple two-step process. There are many avenues to consider and to plan. Situations that may arise that must be addressed and worked out for the best of both parties. Trust in a company whether it is organic or borrowed is the foundation stone of the process. Moreover, the ending process or point to make might be the customer satisfaction of the product or service that is performed. A happy customer whether large or small will be a repeat customer and that is the basis of all companies. To move on to another sale.

Moving into a global market can be stressful for the company making the move but other factors that should weigh in on the equation. The country that your company is moving into must be considered, what are the customs and regulations that must be followed. Consumption supply is the supply of the service needed to run your business in their country. Moreover, the repair of any equipment used in that country for your business, would you use a local repair company or will you supply your own maintenance to all equipment? If you are going to use a local company, a service contract needs to be composed and agreed upon by both PPQ and the service company. The second to consider is commercial presence, which simply means services that are supplied through the commercial presence of a foreign territory such as branch office opening after PPQ gets a good foothold on the current market. The third point to make is work force, will those people be coming from the local workforce or will PPQ be supplying the work force needed to run the startup company and/or any future companies open in that

...Global Operations Management IP1 By: Sara Waterloo May 5, 2012 As any corporation grows and makes the decision to expand globally there are several areas within the management team that needs preparation. Most concerning is the training in multiculturalism and diversity also to include political and economic concerns that may arise during the expansion. Training in these areas will be vital to the life span of a global expansion. Often when one looks at the comparison of cultures many overlook important key facts. While understanding the culture is a great step it is not nearly enough in the terms of a successful global expansion. When an organization opens their doors in a foreign country the parent company must make changes (Sweeney, Eamonn P. and Hardaker, Glenn. 1995). It is not to say that they entire structure must change but you have to incorporate the culture around you. What works in the parent country will most defiantly not work in the host country. As a foreign country begins to feel the effects of a global company expansion there are several areas in which they must prepare themselves. It will be important for the country to be able to support the needs of this expansion in terms of technology, employees and the big question will the host country be able to handle the new flow of product or service through their economic state (Sweeney, Eamonn P. and Hardaker, Glenn. 1995).. Multiculturalism and Diversity Management

...Multiculturalism and Diversity Management Shaketia Robinson July 20, 2012 Global Operation- IP1 Professor Castro In order for PPQ Parts to expand globally, multiculturalism and diversity management training is a necessity. Although there is vast opportunity in doing business abroad, it is important to understand all the pros and cons of these ventures. Many times businesses tend to focus on all the advantages of expansion, and tend to overlook that there are some issues that may arise as a result of the expansion. For example, the host country could face some issues due to the expansion. One article states: “some authorities in international marketing believe that unconscious references to a firm's domestic cultural values contribute to most international business problems” (Snavely, 2012). This stems from businesses not taking the time to truly learn the host country’s way of living; including the culture, language, religions, and general beliefs. It is vital that all strategies related to the business are tailored to all the host countries’ cultural factors. Some cultural barriers and diversity issues that are commonly encountered by international/multinational (MNC) and global organizations include: cross-cultural issues, language, corruption and bribery, and legal requirements. (Moore, 2012) Every culture has their own way of doing business that may be awkward to those that are use to their own traditions. Mannerisms and gestures may differ completely, whereas...
