Project Plan Proposal Part One

...Project Plan Proposal Part One PM/586 Project Quality Management January 20, 2014 James Aiken Project Plan Proposal Part One Introduction The selection process that this Georgia- based Head Start Program holds the focal point of this project proposal. As of the moment, selecting the beneficiaries of this project or program is based on a lottery system. In a circumstance where your child is selected, they are then permitted and encouraged to attend the head start program at no extra cost. On the contrary, if a child is not selected in the lottery, he could still join the program; but his family will be obliged to pay for the program at its own expense. This proposal aims to design a head start program that is all-inclusive and free. This points out to a program that involves all children in state of Georgia where it is originally headquartered. Project Approach and Methodology Used Essentially Project Management is characterized as a well- structured and planned approach towards efficient implementation of the set of activities intended for the entire project (Mutt, 2010). To be able to perform this paper, I prefer to utilize traditional approaches such as initiation, design or planning, execution, close monitoring and generalization after completion. Project Scope Many families claim that, no doubt, their children have the desire to attend the program but lack the financial potential to pay for it. It can be noted that kindergarten years serves as the...

Nutrition Day-Project Proposal & Plan

...Team 4 - Your Way to have a Nutritious Day Project Proposal and Plan 1. INTRODUCTION 1.1 Introduction Everyone wants to grow high and achieve more, along with fulfilling their dreams and responsibilities. For achieving a dream or fulfill our responsibilities we should be planned, have resources and over the top we should possess Good Health. Here comes the Motto of our project How to be healthy ? In today’s fast-paced life, where people are busy in achieving targets take less care to our food habitat which adversely affect our health.we tend to eat food that is readily available and food that can be prepared quickly. For example, we have pizzas, french fries, and other eateries whose products are harmful to our long-term wellness. Most of us don't think about the state of our health until we're sick, but being mindful of small choices and paying attention to the way you feel can help optimize your health. Healthy living is more than simple daily habits – it's a lifestyle. A typical fast-food restaurant’s products contain so many preservatives and artificial ingredients, it’s morally irresponsible to entitle such dishes as “food.” It’s conceivable to say the art of cooking is a lost one because of this ever-growing fast-food problem . Now, on top of this problem, there is the ever-present issue of budgeting and what an individual’s income looks like. There are variations to any single individual’s weekly/monthly/yearly income, and so they must budget their moneys accordingly in...

...Project Plan Proposal Part Two PM/586 Project Quality Management January 26, 2014 James Aiken Project Plan Part Two Introduction The process of developing a project budget is one of the most important aspects in a project. It can help you manage and gain control over your expenses. This way, you can be ascertained that you are not bridging on the red line of overspending. Indicating a budget for the entire project can benefit a researcher like you if and only if you perfected the technique in designing a project budget. To be able to create a win-win project budget, simply follow all these steps. First, check the availability of the funds. Determine how much money you are willing to spend for this project. Second, anticipate all the possible mandatory expenses that this project would incur. Third, identify the necessary elements and concepts of the project budget. Fourth and last, put all these ideas or plans on a clean sheet of paper (Dodge, 2015). Point out all the readily- accessible resources It is good to note that Head Start Directories give off a wide array of resource and contact data. Each directory offers a short but accurate and complete description along with the most significant facts and details leading to the acquisition of other relevant information ("The Voice of Head Start in Georgia. ", 2007). These directories also provide a comprehensive system or database that allows us to peep through the real setting of the Head Start Community. Design...

Project Plan Proposal Part Three

...Project Plan Proposal Part Three PM/586 Project Quality Management February 2, 2014 James Aiken Project Plan Part 3 Introduction The most significant factor in a research is the development of successful strategies and techniques towards the execution of the whole project. This research aspect has the ability to determine your business success. If you successfully and appropriately designed a concrete approach, you will definitely establish a reputable name in the world of commerce and trade. This can be achieved in three ways namely; (1) analyzing and determining the strengths and weaknesses of your project, (2) defining your project’s goals as well as the techniques to achieve them; and (3) acknowledge all the weaknesses in the project and start building a plan to get over all these inconsistencies (DeBenedetti, 2015). Execution Strategy Proposed All of the resources used in this project are hailed to be permanent as far as the purpose of this project is concerned. Below are the two most critical questions that you should address when you want to develop a surefire strategy to improve your resources. 1. What are the types of people you need to be able to meet your strategic goals; and, 2. What initiatives or programs you plan to implement to be able to gain trust and loyalty among employees? Basically, you must seek answer to the previously stipulated questions. Doing so might not be easy but it is always possible. This can be done through understanding...

Contracts

...does not mean the contractor can start doing the work. Before the project can proceed, a contract must be signed between the customer and the contractor. A contract is a vehicle for establishing good customer–contractor communications and arriving at a mutual understanding and clear expectations to ensure project success. It is an agreement between the contractor, who agrees to perform the project and to provide a product or service (deliverables), and the customer, who agrees to pay the contractor a certain amount in return. The contract must clearly spell out the deliverables the contractor is expected to provide. For example, a contract will state that the project result will meet certain specifications or that certain documentation will be provided. The contract must also state the terms by which the customer will make payments to the contractor. There are basically two types of contracts: fixed-price and cost-reimbursement. FIXED-PRICE CONTRACTS In a fixed-price contract, the customer and the contractor agree on a price for the proposed work. The price remains fixed unless the customer and the contractor agree on changes. This type of contract provides low risk for the customer because the customer will not pay more than the fixed price, regardless of how much the project actually costs the contractor. However, a fixed-price contract is high risk for the contractor because if the cost of completing the project is more than originally planned, the contractor will make a lower...

How to Make Project Proposal

...ABOUT THE PROJECT PROPOSAL A Project Proposal is a document which you present to potential sponsors or clients to receive funding or get your project approved. Project Proposals contain key information about your project. They are essential for your sponsors since they’ll use them to evaluate your project and determine whether or not they’ll allocate funds for it. A Project Proposal is generally drafted during one of the early phases of your project (before detailed plans are made and resources are allocated). Therefore, often time and budget estimates are rough, at best. Project proposals do not follow the ‘one size fits all’ principle. This can be attributed to the fact that there are many different types of proposals, all serving a unique purpose in their own right. Proposals can be internal (within your organization) or external (written from one independent organization to another). They can be solicited or unsolicited. They differ in form since some are for businesses, while others are for university or NGO projects. Also, the amount of detail used when outlining proposals can vary significantly. In certain cases a few very short and general phrases is sufficient (when the proposal is 2-3 pages), while in other cases all the major points must be set out in detail (then the proposal would be 30-50 pages). Generally speaking, NGOs have more complicated proposals. A Project Proposal is not a contract. It’s easy to confuse it with a Business Proposal (a document...

Steps to Writing a Grant Proposal

...A grant proposal is a representation of a program plan. A plan indicates the approach the applicant will use to identify the needs or problems. A grant proposal has several major sections that outline the program plan: the abstract, table of contents, specific aims/background and significance/needs and problem statement, target population, approaches and methods, activity plans and scheduling (timeline), agency capacity and program management, budget and budget justification, evaluation plan, (Yuen/Terao, 2003). An abstract is a summary of the contents within the grant proposal. It consists of 45 lines, but one page is recommended. Contradictory to one another, the abstract is the shortest part of the proposal, but also the most important and most read. An abstract, to any piece of writing, is typically the go-to piece to read so there can be avoidance of reading something that may not be of interest to the reader. Better yet, it provides that first impression for anyone who reads it. The following are included in the contents of the abstract of a grant proposal: agency name and the type of organization it is, the purpose and objectives of the project, specific interventions for the project, target population such as race, demographic, age, gender, special needs, location and setting of the project, and the relevance of the proposal to the funding source (Yuen/Terao, 2003). Considering that the abstract is the most important piece as well as a summary for the proposal, it is...

Heath-Cott-Lynn Report

... To: Heathcot-Lynn Foundation Board of Directors Subject: Overall Review and Funding Decisions of Proposals The Heathcot-Lynn Foundation has been an innovator in the health and safety sector for many years. Due to the popularity of this foundation the amount of proposals received is astronomical. In a perfect scenario, funding could be given to every proposal, seeing as how perfect scenarios are almost impossible to come by some tough decisions need to be made. My team and I have given much thought to the $3000 we can allocate across the four different proposals. Procedures The most important part for every member on our team to understand is what a good proposal looks like, and what it takes for an idea to be funded. After our team understood that idea they were able to analyze each proposal individually, so individual opinions could be formed to enable constructive input in the larger group meeting. Keeping in mind the evaluation criteria Heathcot-Lynn provided us; need for project, goal, project approach, cost, and impact our team got down to work collaboratively. Findings The first proposal submitted by the Skyline Coalition comes to us with not just one issue, but two. Right away it is clear to understand the need for, and goals of this project. The first problem arises when looking at the project approach criteria. The proposal doesn’t say how they plan on sustaining the prescription distribution beyond the three month time frame funding would allow. It’s...
