Viability of Product or Service The Company (called TC for easy referencing) is a new start-up that is the off-shoot of an existing Construction Company (referenced as CC). The original company has been in business for over 15 years, and the owner (Stan), is a sole proprietor, operating with one to two employees, a part-time bookkeeper, and subcontractors as needed. TC is a limited partnership between Stan and another person, Don. Currently Stan has the controlling share of the company as he is providing the knowledge, reputation, funding, and sub-contractors. Don is working on the marketing and proposal side of the company with his main purpose being to bring in customers. TC has been incorporated for less than a year as of September 2012. At this time TC has totally out paced it parent company as far as employee growth goes. They employ three estimators, two general contractors / site supervisors, a part-time bookkeeper, a part-time office manager, Stan (as a profit share), and Don. They also bring in numerous subcontractors for each job.
