If I would start to notice that people in the community were getting sick, and not related, then I would go and ask those people that were sick what their symptoms were. Next I would ask them how long they have been having these symptoms, and if anyone else in their family had them also. Also, I would ask if anyone in the family was having the same symptoms, but worse. I would ask what the symptoms were to make sure that everyone that was affected was affected the same way or at least close to the same way. If the people have been sick for a while, then I will know how long this questionable case has been going on for. Next I would check to see if family members were having symptoms similar or not to see if maybe this is something that could just be dismissed. After I talked to the people that are affected somehow, I would then go to the library and see if there was any newspapers, or Internet articles that show that there was something that was built before that was then later torn down for some reason, or if there is another source to cause the people to be getting sick. If I could not find anything, I would then go possibly ask the builder of the houses, and town if there were just one or two companies.
After I talked to everyone, I would then get all the information that I gathered and see if I could see any similarities to the way that the people were getting sick. If there was by chance anything that was previously built on the site of the community, I would then ask the building companies if they knew if there was something previously built on that land. Depending on their answer, I would then let them know what was going on with the residents in the community. If the company did not seem to care about what was going on with the residents and the community, I would then tell them to expect to hear from a lawyer.
