Both REC and Chronicle take a different cinematic approach when it comes to their camera use. There are four styles in the Found Footage Film Genre article, first person, mockumentary, News footage style and surveillance footage style. It is possible in my opinion, that a film especially, a found footage film and take on multiple of these camera styles, as we saw in REC and Chronicle. Some of these camera styles depend on a few factors that are common to be considered when making a found footage film like; limited sets, using unknown actors, limited budget and many others.
