Today, companies have many recruiting methods to choose from such as internal and external recruitment. The evolution of technology also provides the company the option to post their job descriptions on their website for all job seekers to view. “Job seekers have more than 30,000 job search sites with literally millions of listings, as well as the ability to research employers and to network.” (Cascio, W.F., 2010) The top 500 U.S. companies such as Wal-mart recruit via the internet. Job search engines such as these, however, are not only designed for job seekers but for companies as well. A company is able to review candidates’ profiles and resumes via these sites. If a candidate seems like a possible perfect match for their company, an email or telephone call is made to the candidate for an interview. Three different recruitment methods that will be utilized for this job opening are internet job postings, campus recruitment, and job fairs. The human resources (HR) department will post the job announcement on various websites in order to capture the broadest audience to eliminate discrimination in the recruiting process. Another way HR aims to prevent discrimination while using internet job postings is to post only on websites that offer free membership to everyone and do not charge fees to access job postings. Campus recruitment will be open to current undergraduate and graduate level students and alumni as well. Campus recruiting will offer up a diverse talent pool, as recruiting will be done at a carefully selected group of schools known for diverse student bodies. By opening up the job to both levels of college degrees and including alumni as well, we are avoiding the appearance of attempting to discriminate against older candidates. Recruiting efforts will take place at job fairs that are open to the public and this will prevent targeting one particular race or ethnicity. The applicants will be invited to apply (with special focus on encouraging women and minorities). Research Methods

...Organizational Psychology Recruitment Methods When companies need to hire employees there are many methods that can be used. Before these methods are identified, recruitment method needs to be defined. Recruitment methods are the specific means by which potential employees are attracted to an organization. Internal and external are the two types of recruitment methods. Internal recruitment is done by promotions from within a company, nepotism, and employee referrals. External recruitment is done by job advertisements, employment and recruitment agencies, social media, and government job centers. Moving ahead I will go more in depth on each method throughout the paper. What exactly is internal recruitment? Examples of promotion from within are sales person becoming a supervisor, store manager becoming a district manager, or computer tech becoming a network administrator. Next there is nepotism. Nepotism is favoritism in politics or business granted to relatives...
