One of the people that I know who suffers from coasterphobia is my mother. She hates roller coasters! I think she only likes he rides where it’s like a museum, where you would sit down and the seat is going to move so that you’ll be able to see the designs. Basically the ride the Haunted Mansion at Disneyland or the Little Mermaid at California Adventure but any big rides she won’t even think about getting in at all. It all started when she used to live in Virginia because she got relocated to move here in United States from the Philippines. So apparently, when it was only my mom and dad, they were invited to go to Six Flags at Maryland. My mom had fun riding the water ride where you guys go on groups and you get really wet because it spins…show more content… My mom said no multiple times but then she gave up because her officemates weren’t letting her go. She got into the ride and then she told us that right when she sat down, she wanted to get out. Typical workers wouldn’t let her get out because they want her to have “fun”! My mom explained the whole ride was fast and a blur and she told us that she didn’t even scream. She said she basically just sat there, didn’t scream, and gripped the handle until her fingertips turned white. After the ride, her officemates were clapping at her but my mom was so annoyed and she felt so nauseous that she ran to the restroom and threw up. The annoying part of it all was that they all started laughing at her! Like how rude. My mom didn’t consider to ride anymore rides anymore after that. I felt so bad because now that I know people can overcome coasterphobia, I don’t think my mom ever will overcome her traumatic experience. Sure, I want her to get into rides but I won’t force her to get in if she said she doesn’t want to. No means no, so her officemates should’ve listened to…show more content… It all started 2009, when my sister and me went to Six Flags with our cousins. It was our first going to Six Flags so we weren’t scared because we didn’t know what the rides were like. Our cousins told us that we were going to X2 first, so we were like okay let’s go! We planned that I was going to sit next to my cousin and Angeline was going to sit next to my big sister, Maica. Angeline told me that she was feeling fine until Maica was starting to get scared and she was telling Angeline “oh my god”, “I don’t think I can do this”, or “we’re gonna die”. Angeline started panicking but she couldn’t do anything anymore because we were already about to drop upside down. Angeline didn’t have fun at all since she didn’t feel comfort since Maica was giving her a hard time not being scared. Angeline was so scared to go in any rides ever since what happened to her in X2 and it wouldn’t been that way if my big sister told her that she can do it. Angeline was scared to go on every ride, even in Disneyland. We went to Disneyland for our eighth grade field trip and she wasn’t hanging out with me because I wasn’t as close to her friends. So apparently she didn’t had fun because she didn’t ride any rides and she didn’t get to experience how fun it really was. If she said no, she wasn’t getting in, she wasn’t getting in. Not until, we went back after four years during January. The night before we went, I
