...Senioritis, what exactly is it? It is what it sounds like. People can describe it as the way seniors get toward the end of the school year. Not only seniors, but teachers can get this way too. They get extremely lazy and unmotivated. The urban dictionary defines senioritis as “A crippling disease that strikes high school seniors. Symptoms include: laziness, an over-excessive wearing of track pants, old athletic shirts, sweatpants, athletic shorts, and sweatshirts. Also features a lack of studying, repeated absences, and a generally dismissive attitude. The only known cure is a phenomenon known as Graduation.” Sounds pretty accurate, right? These days, some students are not motivated to do things. They do it because they need to, not because they want to. Senioritis is powerful. I am going to talk about how I’m dealing with senioritis, intrinsic...

...anything in College Composition. I thought to myself that I could use the class period as an extra study hall to make sure I had my other classwork done and finish any actual “assignments” the night before they were due. To be honest, I treated the class as so for a while. It wasn’t until after my first essay that I realized how I could improve my writing in preparation for college now instead of later. I didn’t realize that I tend to write in a passive tense every other sentence until now. I also, often, used, too many comma splices, which butchered the flow of my writing. I sometimes missed the MLA format details which lowered my scores early on. After I submitted the last essay, I was glad that I didn’t sign up for English IV. I enjoyed some papers...

..."MY TEACHER, MY HERO" In life, people may come and go, some will be remembered and some are forgotten. But one thing is for sure, I'll never forget the person who is known as my second parent. Who did efforts for me to gain knowledge, the one who has been my guide for so many years, the one who scolds and corrects me when I am doing wrong, the one who has been there as I face to reach the stepping stones in my life. The one who appreciates my efforts, the one who is always there to feed me a bit-full of information that I might use someday, the one who saves me from this unfair life where everyone should be feed with the same level of knowledge. The person who sacrifices for our own good, and yet, the laziness that I've shown them, the tiredness that they have seen from me. After all, they never give up and they never stop to fill us with knowledge and when we are going to fall, they are always there to reach our hand and pull us back and so, the years might have been overthrown, and everything will fade, but they always be my hero for life and for all that efforts and sacrifices that they've done for us. How would life be without our teacher? In life, people may come and go, some will be remembered and some will be forgotten. But one thing I am sure of, you can never forget the persons who you can also call as your second parents. Your teachers. When we’re talking about our teachers, all of us are glad to thank them especially when you’ve learned a lot of great lessons...
