The story Sif’s Golden Hair: How Loki Wrought Mischeifin Asgard, asserts “one day he saw a chance to do mischief that made his heart happy” (27). This story reminds me of a saying my grandma used to tell me “when the cat is away the mice will play.” Loki when that Thor loved Sif hair and Sif “prized” he beautiful golden hair (28). So, when Thor was away Loki when that he could cause chaos by cutting it off. I believe that Loki desired attention and knew that when he created a mischievous deed the Gods would bestow wrath on him. Thus, receiving much more attention than if he did cause something good to happen. It is almost like he enjoyed the show that his chaos caused after trickery is noticed. In this story, we can see this theory to be true
