My 6 significant places, are places that are special to me, places that I love and care about. I will never forget about my significant places because so many important things have happened there that they just can't be forgotten. Some of these places changed me in a way, but mostly it's the important events that matter to me.
My first significant place is the Oakland Convention Center downtown. This place is significant to me because it's where my mom and dad met for the first time and if it wasn't for them meeting there, I wouldn't be here today. What’s funny about this is that my dad actually got a job at the Marriott City Center which is in the same building as the Oakland Convention Center. Sometimes there would be employee parties and …show more content…
I literally go to San Francisco all the time to visit my cousin's house. Sometimes, I go to their house after school so they can help me do my homework if I don't understand it because they are a grade higher than me so they have already taken the same classes that I am currently taking now, the previous year. They are always there for me whenever I need something and I really appreciate that, that's why I really like them and go all the way to San Francisco just to go to their house. Another reason that makes San Francisco so significant to me is that I had my first job there at Pier 39 at a restaurant. At first I didn't really like my job because I had to be standing all day and I got tired really fast. But, I eventually started liking it because I met a lot of new people and made new friends that were older than me. At my job I learned how to be more responsible and I also became more social with people. Sadly, my dad made me quit my job because he wanted me to focus in school more, but at times I would go visit and just say hi to everyone I used to work them because I really liked working with them and I missed

...University of Phoenix Material Research Plan As part of your research plan, you must first draft a research question for your research paper that will guide the rest of your writing. A research question, which is more specific and focused than a general topic, is the question that your research paper will answer. For example, if your general area of interest is social security, a possible research question might ask, “How can low-income families save more money if the United States had a reformed social security plan that includes personal retirement accounts?” As you develop a research question, remember that you need to research sources to support your topic. Do not pick a one-sided question that will limit your research. Instead, develop a research question that lends itself to further exploration and debate—a question you genuinely want to know the answer to. Try to pick a research question that is neither too broad (covering too much) or too narrow (covering too little). It should be broad enough to be discussed in a short research paper. Human Resource Management in Multinational Organizations

...Instructor's name Course name Date Human Resource Management in Multinational Organizations A Preliminary Research on Self-Initiated Expatriation as Compared to Assigned Expatriation Human resource management in multinational organizations is complex due to the cross-cultural and international aspects related to its nature. This article examines the phenomenon of 'expatriation': choosing to leave one's own country in order to live or work in another, usually for a long period of time. Multinational organizations require a certain level of staff relocation in order to improve their knowledge of emerging markets as well as maximizing their talent resources. In addition to assigned expatriates, meaning those moving to another country following an assignment from their workplace, the article refers to "self-initiated expatriates, meaning people who choose to move to another country on their own. Human resource needs for both kinds of expatriates are unique, and may differ from each other. Self-initiated expatriates may exhibit more motivation to live in a different country and uproot their family for a long period of time, and this motivation may facilitate an easier transition, therefore being less demanding for the human resource management (Mo and Jian-Ming 170-172) Workplace flexibility and the changing nature of work: an introduction This paper examines articles referring to how the changes in the work environment require flexibility on behalf of the organization...

...peer reviewed research paper on a personal level. It will cover a brief description and reflection of my attempts to understand the purpose behind the article. I have chosen a research paper titled “Assessing the Plausibility Of Life on Other Worlds”. I have always been extremely intrigued by the possibility of life on other planets and humanity’s’ quest to discover our place in the universe. Previously I believed that these ideas belonged under the disciplines of Astrophysics, Space Exploration or Astronomy but was surprised to find there is a very specific discipline of science called Astrobiology in which this article falls under. Astrobiology is distinct from other space disciplines as it focuses on the actual biology and presence of life and is entirely devoted to studying the origin, distribution, evolution and future of life within our universe. The article is from the peer reviewed journal “Astrobiology” published by Mary Ann Liebert Inc. and has a global audience spanning over 170 countries since 2001. It is published in a monthly style releasing 12 issues annually and targeting an audience consisting of Microbiologists, chemists, astronomers etc. In terms of what ultimately goes into an issue, Astrobiology is under the editorial leadership of Editor-in-Chief Sherry L. Cady (PhD in Geology) who has the final responsibility for all operations and policies but also employs a Managing editor and Deputy Editor who are also senior members with significant input. A Discriptive Study on Adolescent Smoking

...A Research Presented to the Faculty of Lyceum of the Philippines University Department of College of Arts and Sciences Social Factors that Fuel the Influence of Peer Pressure in Adolescent Smoking In Partial Fulfillment of the Requirements in Social Psychology under Ms. Amor Santiago School Year 2014-2015 Members: Gaña, Servil R. Gonzaga, Marc Ian V. Dela Cruz, Jamella Mariz CHAPTER I I. Introduction “Smoking is dangerous to your health.” Despite of this warning printed on every box of cigarette, people still tend to buy these “cancer sticks”. People are aware of the costs of cigarette smoking, and we know for a fact that, behind a stick’s purpose of giving pleasure or relief, it slowly kills, not only an individual but also the environment. Yet smoking exists. It would have been tolerable for people in their middle adulthood to smoke since they have their personal and somehow dignified reason for smoking, but why did smoking have to invade the adolescent’s realm of pure inquisitive innocence? This research paper aspires to extract some of the factors that have a definite influence on why and how adolescents learn to smoke. Years of research about adolescent smoking have already been conducted, thousands of papers have been printed and many psychologists, researchers, students and professors went through stress just to gather data and information about adolescent smoking. These efforts are very helpful and it continues to spur great awareness among others...

Conjoint Analysis

...Business Research Methods Project On Conjoint Analysis Identifying Key Product Attributes & Product Designing of Mobile Phones Abstract This paper intends to explore consumer preferences for Mobile phones attributes, to determine the optimal combination for consumers, and to provide manufacturers a reference for their marketing strategies. In this study, consumers were divided into several demographics (age, gender, occupation) and individual preferences for various mobile phone attributes were compared. Consumers showed significant demographical difference in their preferences over the combination of mobile phones attributes. The various combination of mobile phone attributes were grouped together. Subjects were asked to rank the 22 product profiles (Pair1 to Pair22) from the most to the least preferred. The variables Pref1 through Pref7 contain the IDs of the associated product profiles, that is, the card IDs. Subject 1, for example, liked pair13 most of all, so PREF1 has the value 13.
