Slavery in ancient Rome played an important role in society and the economy. Besides manual labor, slaves performed many domestic services, and might be employed at highly skilled jobs and professions. Teachers, accountants, and physicians were often slaves. Greek slaves in particular might be highly educated. Unskilled slaves or those condemned to slavery as punishment, worked on farms, in mines, and at mills. Their living conditions were brutal, and their lives short.
During the period of Roman imperial expansion, the increase in wealth amongst the Roman elite and the substantial growth of slavery transformed the economy. Although the economy was dependent on slavery, Rome was not the most slave-dependent culture in history. Among the Spartans, for instance, the slave class of helots outnumbered the free by about seven to one, according to Herodotus.
Most slaves in ancient Rome were acquired through wars; Roman armies take prisoners back as part of the reward of war.

In front of the temple of Pietas was Lactaria column, where they were deposited, exposed, i.e. 'ius exponendi "abandoned babies, i.e. the parent refused to recognize, for someone to take them. This almost never happened, but the gathered people turned into slaves if they were men, and if they were female prostitutes. Children useless, deformed or weak were eliminated. The adopted child took the surname of the new parent. When a slave had a child, the owner takes them as his responsibility. Kill him if it was not accepted was not frowned upon, but later could end up having a sort of moral disapproval.
Sometimes slaves were exposed on rotating media to be better observed and with each slave were hanged for selling a type of plaque that describes its origin, health, character, intelligence, education, and other relevant information for buyers. To better appreciate their qualities and defects were always exposed naked. Prices varied with age and quality, so the child slaves were cheaper than adults, and between them the most valuable reached prices equivalent to thousands of dollars today. As a guarantee, the dealer was required to replace with a new slave within six months after purchase, if the slave had hidden defects that were not apparent in the sale. * 2. - How did this specific example cause globalization (pol., soc., eco.) to occur.
The slavery in Rome helps to create a complete empire on those times in to many ways. The rich people could make money without pay nothing to the workers, because they actually belong to him and the money he spend on them was nothing compared with the money they created, because Slaves worked in a wide range of occupations that can be roughly divided into five categories: household or domestic; imperial or public; urban crafts and services; agriculture; and mining. Slaves numbering in the tens of thousands were condemned to work in the mines or quarries, where conditions were notoriously brutal.
Besides the money that the owner make with their hard work and help in the house they also create a full culture, the gladiators, who had to fight in the arena against other gladiators, it fights traveled all over Rome, become famous and made the owners really powerful and rich.
In the political way the slaves made all that the most powerful people from government wanted, also the got educated slaves, not just the hard workers.
A lot of people became powerful by the slaves work.
