Elevuddannelse
Med et grundforløbsbevis fra HG kan man blive elev i en af ECCOs butikker. Og når man har gjort sin uddannelse som salgsassistent færdig, kan man søge om at blive trainee i ECCO. Det er den enkelte butik, der slår elevstillinger op. Så det er typisk i de lokale medier, man finder jobopslagene (se eksempel på næste side). Brand Ambassador Alle elever gennemgår salgsprogrammet Brand Ambassador. Til programmet hører en undervisningsbog. Alle nye medarbejdere skal ud fra den lære, hvad god ECCO-service er, så kunderne får den samme shopping-oplevelse i hele verden, uanset hvilken ECCO-butik de besøger. Når man er elev i en ECCO-butik, tager man hovedforløbet på en handelsskole, der udbyder undervisning for elever i skobutikker. Her lærer man mere om fx produkter og kundeservice. Jobprofil: Hovedansvarsområder vil blive:  servicering af vores mange kunder, gennemførelse af planlagte kampagner i butikken, kassebetjening samt lagerarbejde  generelle forefaldende driftsopgaver i butikken. Personprofil: Som person er du smilende, serviceminded og pligtopfyldende og kan lide en travl hverdag med en bred kontaktflade. Trainees
ECCO har tre trainee-uddannelser, som foregår i både Danmark på hovedkontoret i Bredebro og Tønder og i udlandet. EITE-programmet består af:  1 år i ECCOs produktion i udlandet. Her prøver man alle produktionsprocesserne ’fra ko til sko’.  2 år i hovedkvarteret i Danmark og i udlandet i et af ECCOs regionale datterselskaber i enten Europa, Amerika eller Asien.  Man skal have studentereksamen eller færdiggjort en elevuddannelse for at blive EITE-trainee. Specialist Trainee-programmet varer to år og indeholder:  Teoretisk og praktisk arbejde med produktudvikling,  Uddannelse i forskellige dele af verden.  Arbejde i ECCOs produktion i enten Thailand eller Portugal, hvor fokus er på produktudvikling. Det andet år foregår i hovedkvarteret.  ECCO har ikke krav til særlig uddannelse for at starte som Specialist Trainee. Graduate Trainee-programmet:  Varer to år, hvor man kommer tæt på produktionen i udlandet.  Man arbejder i hovedkvarteret og i en salgsafdeling i udlandet.  man skal have en universitetsuddannelse for at blive Graduate Trainee. trainee EITE et specielt uddannelsesforløb, som virksomheden selv har planlagt ECCO International Trainee Education datterselskab selskab, der ejes af et andet selskab

Livslang læring
Livslang læring i ECCO ECCO arbejder systematisk med læring fra medarbejderens første arbejdsdag - og det fortsætter, så længe man er ansat. ECCO skriver: ”Vi giver hele tiden medarbejderne mulighed for professionel træning, nye udfordringer og mobilitet i vores globale netværk. Vi tror på vores medarbejdere og ønsker at se dem udvikle deres talenter og karriere. Derfor har vi udviklet en række interne programmer, som giver mulighed for livslang læring og kompetenceudvikling på tværs af alle led og kulturer i vores organisation.”

Efter- og videreuddannelse
Efter- og videreuddannelse er vigtig for både den enkelte medarbejders personlige og faglige udvikling og for ECCOs fortsatte udvikling. Udviklingssamtale og medarbejderens uddannelse Efter- og videreuddannelse kan foregå i og uden for arbejdstiden. Det aftales som en del af handlingsplanen i forbindelse med den årlige personaleudviklingssamtale. En udviklingssamtale mellem medarbejder og chef skal blandt andet afklare, om medarbejderen har brug for efter- og videreuddannelse for bedre at kunne udføre sit job eller for at kunne få et andet job i ECCO. ECCO betaler udgifter i forbindelse med uddannelsen. Det kan fx være deltagerafgift og bøger.
