You need to have impressive knowledge about sign boards and all rules and regulations of state. If you violate any rule on road, then there’s a chance police want you to stop on road.
Whenever you see the flashing lights of car behind you pulling you over – it is important to take steps properly. You have to follow these steps to take an easy stop on road and remain safe from trouble situation. If such situation occurs, you need to turn on the emergency lights of your car at once. When you have done this, pull over as far to right. So that officer will approach towards your car.
Make sure to stay in your senses and wait for police. Stay calm and just answer the questions of police officers. You have to stay in your car as there’s no need to come out of your car. Make sure to switch off your engine and if it is dark then switch on the lights. …show more content…
These questions are related to your insurance, license, and registration. When you are looking for these items in your car, make sure officer knows what you are doing exactly.
Police officers will actually stop your car in some sort of violation. You don’t need to admit this situation as you are not part of it. Police officers are trained with such kind of questions like do you know why I pulled you over? How fast you are going – don’t know speed limits? You shouldn’t need to answer these kind of questions as you don’t admit it. Actually, you also don’t need to make argue with the police officer in these

Distracted Driving

...saying “sorry” undoes nothing. Will saying “sorry” help when you crash your parent’s car, because you are too busy looking at your phone? What about when you kill someone’s child because you’re too busy talking to your friend and run a stop light? Will you say “sorry” to the kid’s parents and expect everything to be okay? Saying “sorry” cannot begin to fix some things and preventing those from happening by acting responsibly in the first place is the best you can do. I like the introduction technique with the hypothetical questions. However, you now need to transition into your thesis or central claim, and that central claim needs to come here, at the end of the intro paragraph. Ninety percent of car accidents are caused by human error – driving under the influence of alcohol and marijuana, speeding recklessly, changing lanes without signaling, passing through red lines, and probably most known of all: distracted driving OK, first of all, don’t begin body paragraphs with statistics. Rarely should you do this. Instead, remember that I want your body paragraphs to begins with subclaims. Secondly, where did you get this statistic? This is not a research paper (you’ll be taught proper research in Composition II). For now, we want you to avoid research sources except your interviews. . Distracted Driving is dangerous and can kill you and those people around you.—THIS is a subclaim. The problem is, it needs to be backed up by the kind of evidence we’ve been talking about in this class—personal...

Red Light Camera

...red light cameras, Chicago doesn’t seem like it will be one to budge. The first red light camera in Chicago was placed in 2003 along with the impression that these photo enforced cameras will benefit all on the road including pedestrians and bicyclists. Red light cameras were introduced to the people as a form of protection to help ensure driver safety and reduce red light running. Since the first camera was installed, there has been a rapid spread all across Chicago to where there are even two cameras at one intersection. Based on the studies reported, there is, however, strong evidence that suggests that red light cameras are less effective than the high hopes that were placed at their inception. In this debate, I’m not asking to take down red light cameras because some people believe they are to create revenue, nor am I saying the cameras are worthwhile. The priority is to get them to work in the way they were intended to be used for not just for revenue as it has now become. Changes in the engineering aspect to create a better flow would do the best for the city of Chicago. A great amount of technology, contracting, design, and implementation goes into these traffic signals we use every day which help keep road regulation smooth and safe. Although road signals are organized, getting motorists to follow regulations is the hardest part. The problem the federal highway administration was faced with was the great amount of accidents resulting from motorists running...

Driverless Vehicle Research

...“A driverless car is a robotic vehicle that is designed to travel between destinations without a human operator” (Whatis.com, 2011, September). Plenty of research has been done to explain the benefits of autonomous vehicles. The research covers a wide variety of benefits; however, this paper will bring focus on three major benefits of autonomous vehicles. These benefits will include a reduction in traffic jams, reduced crashes, and increased mobility amongst the disabled. Current theories and research on autonomous vehicles indicate that self-driving cars will reduce congestion. Self-driving cars are adjusted to operate at a particular speed. These cars preserve a regular distance from other automobiles and do much less lane adjustments. According to Bose and Loannou (2003), “if 10% of all vehicles on a given freeway segment are AVs, there will likely be an AV in every lane at regular spacing during congested times, which could smooth traffic for all travelers” (As Cited in Fagnant & Kockelman, 2015). Thus, it has been shown that AVs have the potential to reduce congestion....

The Australian Road Rules

...THE AUSTRALIAN ROAD RULES – WHAT ARE THEY AND WHERE ARE THEY GOING? Ian W Shepherd and Fiona A Calvert National Road Transport Commission PO Box 13105 Law Courts MELBOURNE VIC 8010 “Motoring in Australia is daily taking on more of a national aspect by shedding its earlier parochial garb. Yet there are few fields in which legislative and regulatory inconsistency have freer play than in the Australian motoring world. At the moment a motorist passing from one State into another has to unlearn much of what he has learned in his own State and to learn a lot that is strange to him. This produces irritation – or worse - in the motor owner and motor driver, and tends to unnecessary costs of traffic administration (which the motorist usually has to pay for). It also adds to traffic dangers through ignorance or unfamiliarity with local conditions or practices on the part of drivers. Therefore, anything that can be done to lay down a national basis for motor traffic control must be of much practical value. Commonsense suggests that there should be uniformity instead of variety, and that the growing volume of interstate traffic requires a national instead of a local viewpoint in things common to traffic in all of the States. Were all motor vehicles kept within their own State boundaries, little disadvantage would arise from the present welter of confusing motor legislation, but when a system becomes national, a system (or lack of system) of arbitrarily...

Why Cellphones Should Be Banned While Driving

...Cell phones are troublesome while driving. When a driver keeps talking or listening to music he or is not supposed to focus off the road. A cell phone makes a great difference. It is not forbidden to talk to a passenger but it is not recommended to talk to an invisible cell phone communicator. The use of cell phones is the most common distraction, but the use of a hand-held cell phone increases the risk by 1.3 times, which is less than reaching for items on the seat or in the glove compartment. New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, California, Washington State, Utah, and Washington, D.C. prohibit drivers from using hand-held cell phones, irrespective of weather conditions: at all times, not only on wet and icy roads when a driver decides on dialing or text messaging. According to recent research, a driver talking over a cell phone is four times more endangered to collide with another vehicle than a driver who does not use a cell phone while driving. Cell phone distraction causes 2600 deaths in the United States annually. Drivers may be allowed to use cell phones in traffic jams but they must be fined if they use a cell phone while driving at moderate or high speeds, at crossroads, and on twisting and turning roads. Can you do without using your cell phone while driving? The use of cell phones may result in a driver's slower reaction while breaking or regaining speed. It may cause accidents but it may be a coincidence with some other action. So, the use of cell phone is not desirable...

Well the cost option is for riding on the toll roads in gas, paying tolls or public transportation, what is the cost effective. I think the study would show that riding toll roads if the way to go. I say this because even if you ride public transportation it’s not available in every location, so you may still be in some type of traffic getting to your pick up location. Another reason I say toll roads is your can control the routes you go verses public transportation there may not be a direct route. You may have to do transfer from one stop to another and public transportation is only available doing certain hours. The cost may be cheaper for public transportation but, it is still possible you are putting wear and tear on your vehicle...
