A Study of the INTJ Typology
Utilizing the Meyers-Briggs Personality Test

Abstract
Utilizing the Meyers-Briggs Personality test, I have learned that my personality typology is INTJ. Personalities can be broken down into 4 categories, that consist of 2 types. This paper will develop each of the 4 categories in the INTJ typology (I - Introversion, N - iNtuition, T - Thinking and J - Judging), and the INTJ typology itself to confirm the test validity in determining my personality profile using the application of my personal experiences. I will also discuss aspects of Organizational behavior that were expressed in the writings of Kroeger, O.; Thuesen, J.; & Rutledge, H. Type Talk to Work, and in the power point presentation by Fisher, K (2009). A World View Perspective on Organizational Behavior.

According to Carl Jung's research, everyone's personalities can be broken down into 4 categories, that consist of 2 types, E - Extraversion and I - Introversion, N - iNtuition and S - Sensing, T - Thinking and F - Feeling, J - Judging and P - Perceiving. Each person's personality is a combination of one preference in each categories. Utilizing the Meyers-Briggs Personality test, I have learned that my personality typology is INTJ. I will develop each of the 4 categories in my typology, and the combined typology while at the same time discuss their validity by using personal experiences in my life.
STEP 1
I – Introversion An (I) personality is one that lives internally and needs to take a break and recharge privately. (Kroeger, Thuesen, Rutledge, 2009) The I's will often be referred to as shy or withdrawn; people may say they are tentative or indecisive; and they may be seen as disinterested or uncaring about in certain situation. I have never taken this personality test before and I’m not sure if this is the same test that the military uses to determine the type of personality that we are as service members. My personality test revealed that I’m INTJ (introversion, intuition, thinking, and judgment). INTJs are one of the rarest of the sixteen psychological types and account for approximately 1-2% of the population. The MBTI assessment was developed from the work of prominent psychiatrist Carl G. ...Personality Inventory an INTJ Consideration Alyssa Bergermann Eastern Michigan University Personality Inventory an INTJ Consideration Personality tests, a long studied branch of psychology; within this long period of focus psychologists have labeled few tests as reliable staples that individuals unfamiliar with psychological backgrounds can easily interpret. The MBTI, Myers Briggs Type Indicator test’s purpose is to take the designated personality types conceived by C.G. Jung and shift them into more understandable concepts relatable to an individual’s life (Myers & Briggs Organization, 2014). Focusing on an INTJ test result, we will compare the examinee’s personality traits to those described by her MBTI result. Evaluation of these results will confirm whether she feels the test was accurate or if she disagrees with some aspects of the test. We will also assess for areas where the examinee may feel she has learned something new about herself from the provided INTJ test score. Scoring for the MBTI involves consideration of how the examinee responds to the provided questions.
