The Dominquez & escalate expedition
In the June of 1776 two Christian friars decided that they wanted to set out for the all American dream. They wanted freedom for their church members and they wanted to go to California so they could buy land. So they decided to head en-route’ from santefe to California on the fourth of July but, a group of comacache Indians attacked their church. the men finally left in july,29 1776 with a small arsenal of ten men and a indian boy tracker. All through august, the men went through familiar Mexican territory. But, on September twelfth the men passed the Utah border and had to trust the thirteen year old Joaquin and their map maker Miera y Pachecho they came opon a river just before entering Utah basin.
