SWOT analysis for Sandwich Blitz
This is my analysis on the expansion move by Dalman and Lei. The first part of my analysis are the strengths that Sandwich Blitz provides. The strength that sandwich blitz has is that there food is organically grown so, that means that there into selling healthy food. They do give hands on training and as a company they stand by their motto. The weakness that I see is that Dalman and Lei feel as if they don’t have the time and energy to expand the business. If they feel that there not ready mentally and physically to expand then you run a risk of not properly training correctly and, trying to build off of your name rather than putting the work in. The opportunity that this presents is of course expanding to different areas. The location in which you expand your business mean a lot. They have sandwich blitz in metropolitan areas and are looking to expand in urban areas. That’s kind of like having the best of both worlds. This may mean that they would get an even larger return of investment. The threats that may present themselves are similar competitors. There are always competitors that will have a business similar to your own with certain deals to knock out the competition. I would think the cost of having organic food will effect budgeting. Overall I would take the risk and expand to the urban area and build there. I just would want Dalman and Lei to be completely focused on each area.

I believe every business has its weaknesses no matter how profitable they may be. Dalman and Lei's weakness is the fact that their customers are based from larger office parks. A few to name would be Universities, hospitals, and office complexes. The larger office parks are being affected due to the economic downturn, which has caused the occupancy rates to decrease. Sandwich Blitz

...“Sandwich Blitz – Where our quality, freshness, and customers always come first.” Sandwich Blitz, Inc. is considering opening two more stores in the near future. Dalman has found the two stores, which will become vacant in the near future. I recommend both Dalman and Lei follow the advice given below. Before any expansion can occur, SWOT has to be taken in consideration. All aspects of SWOT analysis need to be studied, the past should not be considered at all. Just the future, meaning the economy downfall, has Sandwich Blitz, Inc. seen any downfall. If so, that would be a good interpretation that no future growth should be considered. Strengths: With a ROI of 30% which would be considered phenomenal by most should be their first goal in maintaining that yield year after year. Weakness: I believe Dalman is seeing, dollar signs in his eyes. He believes the corporation can continue to grow even with the economic slowdown. For several stores, ready to close up and with his estimation of renting those stores for less money than rented previously sounds like a pipe dream. Opportunity: I agree that the thought of expanding of two additional stores sounds appealing; Dalman needs to talk to the accountant Jayin Chopra, regarding any changes in revenue or expenses from the previous year. How is the economic downfall affecting Sandwich Blitz, Inc.? In my opinion Sandwich Blitz, Inc. would be behind the curve of the downfall. I say this for I do not believe any local companies...

Sandwich Blitz Swot

...SWOT Analysis Sandwich Blitz Sandwich Blitz is a small sandwich chain that specializes in organic and healthy foods. The company operates eight sandwich shops in a large metropolitan area. The business is owned and operated by both Dalman who is the President and Chief Executive Officer and Lei is the Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. All the shops are well places around four high traffic office complexes, three universities and one hospital. Recently the company has started to receive some competition from similar businesses although nothing has been fully set up. The company is on an outstanding track but still face several challenges in the future to take them to the next level. The purpose of this SWOT is to identify key elements Dalman and Lei need to consider in order to overcome any obstacle they will face in the future. Strengths: Sandwich Blitz has an outstanding reputation in the area as an upscale/healthy lunch choice. They offer menu choices (organic and healthy) that no other restaurant in the area is offering. Because of this they have been able to turn a great profit and a 30% Return of Investment. Weaknesses: Sandwich Blitz has a lack of adequate middle management. The top-level managers spend too much time dealing with issues they do not need to deal with which is making them become tired. Because they are a small brand they do not have a name outside of their local area. Because of the economic turn down their occupancy rate has slowed down...

Sandwich Blitz Swot

...SWOT Analysis: Sandwich Blitz By Shannon Linnehan Sandwich Blitz, a specialty sandwich shop already has 8 successful locations and is considering opening 2 more stores. Below is the SWOT analysis, as defined in our text as a comparison of strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats that helps executives formulate strategy, for Sandwich Blitz. Strengths One of their greatest strengths is the success of the 8 other stores, Dalman and Lei already have a proven business model and have a profitable business. Part of this success can be attributed to their unique product (healthy, organic sandwiches) with an established brand. Weaknesses Although they have done well in the other locations, they are failing to recognize the weakness in the new proposed locations. It has been stated that many of the office spaces are vacant which would cause a decrease in customer base. Dalman and Lei are also too involved in the mundane day to day activities, they need to hire better managers so they have more time to devote the company. Opportunities Sandwich Blitz has several opportunities to expand by opening more locations, offering more products and services. Perhaps they could start serving dinner and stay open later instead of just breakfast and lunch they currently offer. Threats All businesses have risks and rewards, recognizing the threats can be the first step in succeeding. Sandwich Blitz is no different and faces threats such as competition from other...

The Swot for Sandwich Blitz, Inc

...Organizational leaders often perform a SWOT analysis, which measures a business’s internal strengths and weaknesses and external opportunities and threats (Nickels, McHugh, & McHugh, 2010). Factors are considered both fixed and variable, and give the organization the opportunity to identify areas for improvement and advancement. The main strength of Dalman and Lei committing to a large scale expansion of Sandwich Blitz, Inc. is that they already have a strong business plan in place that is showing success. By expanding their business outside of the city they are currently in, they are able to garner a larger customer base. With having eight current shops, they could possibly be better off with getting involved with an expansion that will take them out of their current area. Expanding in the same area as they have been currently with a small scale expansion may cut down the amount of customers that visit other established shops. A weakness of Dalman and Lei committing to a large scale expansion of Sandwich Blitz, Inc. is that their current set up is working as it is because they have made their first link of the chain the base for training new employees. With moving to a different area during a larger expansion, it may not be possible for this model to continue working for them as it currently is. One of the main things that keeps this chain successful is the training that each employee receives that allows them to be empowered to make a bad situation right for the customer...

Lei and Dalman know that if they are going to do this, then they need to act quickly. Acting on something such as opening another business, requires time consuming. Pizza

...Introduction Pizza Hut was started in 1958, by two brothers in Wichita, Kansas. Frank and Dan Carney had the idea to open a pizza parlor. They borrowed $600 from their mother, and opened the very first Pizza Hut. In 1959, the first franchise unit opened in Topeka, Kansas. Almost ten years later, Pizza Hut would be serving one million customers a week in their 310 locations. In 1970, Pizza Hut was put on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol PIZ. In 1986, Pizza Hut introduced delivery service, something no other restaurant was doing. By the 1990's Pizza Hut sales had reached $4 billion worldwide. In 1998, Pizza Hut celebrated their 40th anniversary, and launched their famous campaign "The Best Pizzas Under One Roof." In 1996, Pizza Hut sales in the United States were over $5 million. Out of all the existing pizza chains, Pizza Hut had the largest market share, 46.4%. However, Pizza Hut's market share has slowly eroded because of intense competition from their rivals Domino's, Little Caesar's and newcomer Papa John's. Home delivery was a driving force for success, especially for Pizza Hut and Domino's. However, this forced competitors to look for new methods of increasing their customer bases. Many pizza chains decided to diversify and offer new non-pizza items such as buffalo wings, and Italian cheese bread. The current trend in pizza chains today is the same. They all try to come up with some newer, bigger, better, pizza for a low price. Offering special promotions...
