One night, after an unexpected encounter with my husband and Mr. Dimmsdale, I was sewing Governor Winthrop's burial robe when a meteor struck my house and before you know it—I had been deported to a place that seemed unrealistic. I, at first presumed that it was just another world and I was witnessing the afterlife but the people around me had a blithe disregard towards the holy doctrine itself. All I could do was pray for my little Pearl who was very busy playing with her flowers as I last recall, oblivious to the things occurring around her. As I started walking around the chaotic valley of ashes, I came across a billboard that had ‘MTV Video Awards’ written on it in the most extravagant way—Moreover—I met people who had a flamboyant display of their attires as though no maxim could prohibit them from showing their pride.
