In the article “Environmental Crisis: The Devil is in the Generalities” the author, Ross McKiktrik, proposes that the we should do away with using the word “environment” and that breaking it down into smaller specific terms is imperative to see how the earths environment is truly doing. Ross, a professor of economics at the University of Guelph, begins all his classes with a project where he asks each student to conduct a study of the air quality in the city they grew up in.
