Singh (Department of Mathematics, Magadh University, Bodh Gaya) drmksingh_gaya@gmail.com Deepak Mitra (Department of Computer Applications, Gaya College Gaya , Bihar) d_mitra123@yahoo.com Abstract “The rise of the cloud is more than just another platform shift that gets geeks excited. It will undoubtedly transform the information technology (IT) industry, but it will also profoundly change the way people work and companies operate. It will allow digital technology to penetrate every nook and cranny of the economy and of society, creating some tricky political problems along the way.” (Source: Economist, ‘Let it rise’, 23 October 2008.). In business, the ability to reduce costs and increase productivity often lies at the heart of the decision to adopt cloud solutions. Cloud computing offers general business and organizational benefits, as well as benefits in the exploitation of ICTs.It is these cost savings and others that have led policy makers to enthusiastically embrace cloud computing: “The medicine needed for our credit squeezed economy”. The scalability of cloud services enables increased productivity and improved responsiveness to changing customer demands and market conditions. It reduces risk for organizations, enabling them to trial new ideas and processes without the need to invest heavily in new technologies. In particular, cloud can facilitate new means of collaborative working practices, reflecting...

...While we continue to enjoy a fairly mild winter and ease our way into spring with warmer temperatures; this was not the case almost 60 years ago. On March 14, 1957, a five-state blizzard shut down most of Minnesota. Stearns County was the center of a storm that brought 8 to 10 inches of snow and 60 miles an hour winds. The St. Cloud Times reported that many veteran observers believed it to be the worst storm since the infamous Armistice Day Blizzard of November 11, 1940. Around the state five people were killed in highway traffic accidents. And throughout Stearns County, nine people were injured in traffic accidents. The drifting snow and poor visibilities made travel almost impossible. Plows were pulled off the roads and many towns and rural...

Question 1 World over, Amazon is known for the provision of cloud computing also known as utility computing or demand computing. In essence, it refers to allowing the firm to offload peak demand for computing power to large scale data processing centers that are remote. In a nutshell, the Amazon Company offers computing capacity on a per usage basis. Amazon is at an advantageous point in terms of business in the sense that it can generate more income from a number of other businesses (Buyya, Yeo, Venugopal, Broberg and Brandic, 2009). This can be achieved through provision of its extra and additional capacity to those in need. ...Bias in the Justice System During the O.J Simpson Murder Case Throughout the course of American history, the era of the 1990’s certainly stands out. The justice system at the time seemed to have flaws, with it being put up to the test. Many infamous events happened during the 1990’s that defined the judicial system, including the Los Angeles riots, the Anita Hill-Clarence Thomas controversy, and the Bill Clinton-Monica Lewinsky scandal. However, no case during that time (or, arguably, in the 20th century) was as talked about as the O.J. Simpson murder case. On June 13, 1994, Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman were found stabbed to death in the affluent Los Angeles neighborhood of Brentwood. The evidence found was pointing toward Nicole Brown Simpson’s husband- former football player Orenthal James Simpson. (Hunt, 17) The events leading up to his very infamous trial led to a whirlwind of media speculation. However, does the Simpson trial accurately display the flaws of the American judicial system at...

...Our Founding Fathers, extoled in today’s society beyond imagination, have inherited a legacy of unquestioned adulation and pristine status among the inhabitants of their successful experiment—the social democracy of the United States. Credited for undertaking the arduous task of structuring and laying the foundation of a newly formed country, the liberal ideals they espoused and preached with the utmost veneration continue to inspire and galvanize action. They are god among men, whose written word resonates like scripture; rife with an endless prism of interpretations that lurk within these sacred words beyond wisdom. Glorification of this scale goes hand in hand with that infamous American patriotism, and to accompany the monumental success of the United States, commensurate identities of its leaders were...

...Cinder Cone volcanoes are created by just one vent in the Earths outer crust. These volcanoes are the most common, only reach about 300 meters above the ground and appear in Western North America. According to Universe Today, one of the most famous, or infamous, volcanoes erupted out of a Mexican corn field in 1943. This volcano reportedly erupted for 9 whole years, covering adjacent towns with volcanic ash. Composite volcanoes are made by an accumulation of eruptions. The layers of these volcanoes are formed by hardened lava, tephra, pumice, and volcanic ash. Composite volcanoes are most commonly found in the Ring of Fire, a major area in the basin of the Pacific Ocean featuring 425 volcanoes. Mount Fuji, the tallest volcano in Japan, is...

...Nelly Delamango was born on February 13, 1850, but the name “Rainbow Delamango” was given to her in 1868. Everyone would be able to agree that she is an infamous figure in the wild west. Small stature, eyes as brown as a muddy river, plain face with nothing unique about it. In the town of Bisbee, where she was born and raised, she grew up as a poor person in a rich town, until she started working on her craft. She didn’t have friends so she needed another way to find entertainment. As a person who loved actual, jewelry, and anything expensive, she would stop at nothing to get the rewards. Her solution you may ask was to kill everyone who stood in her way of it. She never faced consequences until she saw the end of her days. Now, killing...

...When creating a story, movie, or even a book, the creator or author often thinks of an attention grasping plot. No matter what era or time period people have a tendency to be attracted to heroism. A plot displaying action, heroic journeys or deeds and a fitting character that possess each one of the traits to accomplish the role of a hero. ...Michael Chapa Buku of Horn, Arno B plays JacobTV Arno Bornkamp “Buku of Horn, Arno B plays JacobTV” is Arno Bornkamp´s first cd dedicated to the composer Jacob ter Veldhuis. ´Buku of Horn´ in summary means ´lots of saxophone´, and that describes a large part of ter Veldhuis’ compositions and business over the past 15 years. The first track starts out with the infamous Tallahatchie Concerto. According to the composer, the word ‘tallahatchie’ occurred to him spontaneously. It appeared to be a native American word, meaning ‘river of rocks’, which was in his opinion an apt metaphor for this concerto. The Tallahatchie Concerto is a stretched out crescendo/accelerando in which the saxophone gradually leads the audience “from celestial atmospheres into terrestrial ones.” “This is the reason why pink shadows of heavenly orange clouds hang over the opening adagietto of the piece.” I regard this concerto as an abstract piece of music, which is quite exceptional in ter Veldhuis’ work. He’s connecting an anecdote to this composition which makes the interpretation of it so much more unique and beautiful at the same time. Anyways, at the very beginning of the piece, Bornkamp starts in unison with the strings and changes to a perfect fourth then to a fifth while each voice perfectly compliments and balances to each other. The song goes on with moments of brief tension and accompanying resolution. Also, as the song progresses, the saxophone line transitions from a lyrical to a technical...

Sony's event was more of a teaser than an unveiling, though: The company never actually showed the new console or named a price. But what we did see was enough to stoke our excitement. We always expect the next generation of gaming consoles to be smarter, stronger, and faster than the previous one. The PlayStation 4 certainly looks ready to deliver in that regard. The visuals were stunning on the game demos we were shown, and Sony claims that we will be able to download and update games in the background while playing. That's huge for anyone who has ever sat down to play a brand-new game, only to have to wait a half an hour for updates. While we didn't see the PS4 itself, we did get a glimpse of its new DualShock...

...were all results of the Great Depression and also had huge impacts on people’s lives. Beginning of the Great Depression The Depression began in the year 1929 and was a result of the ending of the First World War. The United States was sending aid to Europe in recovery but this resulted in an over extension of credit and spending in the 1920’s. This over extension was a direct cause that led to the “most dramatic economic event in United States history”. No other depression had such a devastating impact on the United States society. Throughout the twelve years of the Great Depression, one quarter of the work force were unemployed, 5,500 banks closed and 32,000 businesses went bankrupt (“Great Depression”). Stock Market Crash On the infamous day known as Black Tuesday, October 29, 1929 the stock market crashed. The only thing was that no one was thinking anything could go wrong because a little over a month before the market had reached a 10-year high price. From then on the prices slowly decreased causing confusion, apprehension, and uncertainty began to set into all investors big and small (Galbraith 1). A couple of days before Black Tuesday a day known as Black Thursday was when people really started to notice trouble ahead. As trading slowed ominously investors started selling stock on Thursday October 24, 1929. This triggered a further fall in stock prices that sent the market heading for a crash. On this day 12,894,650 shares of stock were traded by investors in an effort...

...Appropriate handling always includes post event analysis which provides the company with an excellent "lessons learned" opportunity. During this process stakeholders need to be asking the tough questions and gathering information to identify the factors that allowed the event to occur. Featured Resource Presented by Citrix Systems 10 essential elements for a secure enterprise mobility strategy Best practices for protecting sensitive business information while making people productive from Learn More The process should not be viewed as a fault finding mission but a determination of whether there was a company, policy, procedure or guideline in place to address this situation, whether the guidelines were followed as designed or adequate to address (or prevent) the specific situation that occurred. If the fraud event occurred because an employee(s) simply failed to follow the internal control policies, then there are corrective measures that business units may take to ensure policies are followed in the future. These include communication to employees regarding increased awareness, correct handling processes and policy adherence. It may simply be that employees performed as expected under the circumstances but there were insufficient internal control policies in place to guide their behavior. Lessons learned here will strengthen internal controls through the creation of new ones. Also learn about the basics of internal...

...Before we leave the Beagle Channel in Argentina for Antarctica, I make sure my dresser and table in my cabin are cleared off. I shove some things into my drawer and secure it closed with Duct tape; Other items I know I’ll use in the next two days I put on the floor. This is what we call “Drake Proofing.” The Drake Passage is an infamous 600-mile stretch of ocean, known for being some of the roughest seas in the world. It is the shortest way to get to Antarctica by boat, taking us about two days to cross it. On Drake days I enjoy standing up at the Bridge, watching. I become completely mesmerized by the crashing waves, like staring into a campfire. The dark swells slam against the side of the ship dispersing white splashes into the air and spreading a beautiful turquoise whitewash behind it. The ship rolls back and forth relentlessly with slight jolts breaking up the rolls as the waves crash into the ship, causing me to hold onto the counter as I watch. It is hard to believe, while in the rough seas of the Drake, that I will soon be in Antarctica, with glassy calm conditions, stand up...

...Cloud Usage Risk Report November 2014 1 Executive summary The Adallom Cloud Risk Report is published annually, detailing actionable insights and information mined from the Adallom subscriber base. This specific report incorporates analysis of cloud application usage for over one million enterprise SaaS enabled users traversing four dominant SaaS platforms: Salesforce, Box, Google Apps, and Office 365 between October 2013 and October 2014. This report is the first of its kind to detail application usage patterns and risky behaviors for the top SaaS applications used by businesses. The key findings in this report reaffirm the need for a new approach to data governance, risk management, and security in the context of cloud adoption. Perimeter and endpoint security solutions provide minimal protection against new, emerging, and largely unknown risks. Therefore, enterprises need to proactively invest in new controls like Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions and Cloud Access Security Brokers. Key findings include: • In the cloud zombies are real: 11% of all enterprise SaaS accounts are “zombies,” inactive assigned users that are at best eating up the cost of a license, and at worst increase the attack surface of the organization. • More admins, more problems: Every administrative account represents a real and present risk to the enterprise. In some SaaS applications Adallom recorded an average of 7 administrators out of every 100 users. •...
