Abstract
The following project focuses on analyzing an aging organization. The analysis further compares the theories and concepts learned in class with the selected aging organization. To investigate these concepts and comprehensively analyze the organization, several areas of the organization are studied, which include: the overview of the organization; the organizational structure; its behavior in terms of staffing and administration; the organizational environment; major issues, and the assessment of the organization utilizing the what is learnt in class. After the research, the organization is found to go along with the class concepts.

With the aging of people, mechanically and structurally safe houses that accommodate people with disabilities will be required. AARP Foundation develops strategies that address these housing crises and make our available communities welcoming and affordable for people regardless of physical ability or age.
The AARP Services, Inc. organization
The AARP Services, Inc. was founded in 1999. AARP Services Inc. is an owned subsidiary of AARP and is wholly taxable. The subsidiary manages the wide range of services and products that are offered to the members of AARP as benefits. The offers span life event services, leisure and travel products, and health products. Specific products include: long-term care insurance; legal services; pharmacy services; special offers on gifts and technology; vacation lodging and packages; cruises; member discounts on the rented cars; and Medicare supplemental insurance (Jason, 2009).

It is the policy of the organization to protect each member’s information. During the application for membership, basic information is collected such as applicant’s name, date of birth, and contact information. Demographic information is further collected from other sources. This information is solely used only to help the organization understand the needs and characteristics of a member so as to better the services of its members as well as improving the organization’s programs. Miss handling of any members’ information is punishable by law.
Sharing of a member’s personal information is only with the companies that are selected by the organization to support AARP operations and provide AARP member services and must be official. Companies that provide AARP member services must pay a fee for access to the organization’s membership list. AARP’s contracts with these companies need them to maintain this information strictly confidential, and to only use the member’s information to offer contracted services to AARP members and AARP.
