...The Latest from the Feminist Front Feminism – By Rush Limbaugh Franley Jardeleza ITT Technical Institute Feminism My reaction to Rush Limbaugh’s claim was overwhelming true. Nowadays men are very careful when harassment comes out in the picture as allegations. It is easy for a female to make a complaint about sexual harassment even without a witness or evidence. Rather on the other hand, a man needs to convince or try harder to make anyone understand that he was sexually harassed. I believed my own opinion is because of masculinity? The community overall, because of the situations and crime rate regarding rape have gone up and most of the time men are involved as culprit for the crime. Never in my wildest dream that a woman have been convicted of a crime raping and molesting a man, it’s always the other way around. So my initial reaction is that, it is overwhelmingly true that a woman could easily convinced the law as a victim of rape or harassment rather than men. Mr. Limbaugh’s key points were the feminism , which he considers an anti-male definition. Bottom line, it is asking who’s got the ability to convince anyone about rape or harassment. The other key point is the truth that rape and harassment have gone too far as a common reason to manipulate the law in distinguishing the authority between a male and female. There’s no such thing anymore as going on a date, asking a girl to go out, even trying to pursue to try to convince her to go out with you, simple touching...

...Strategies For Creative Problem Solving Michael J. Dooley Jr ITT Technical Institute After reading chapter 3 and giving some real thought to a particular problem that I’ve encountered in my past, there is one situation that jumps out to me the most. About four years ago, I was at the end of a relationship with a young lady who I had been involved with for about five years off and on. We actually met back in 2005 and basically carried out an up and down relationship until around 2010. In 2009, she became pregnant and gave birth to a beautiful baby girl in September of that year. My initial thought was that I was the biological father of that little girl. However, something within me just didn’t feel right the more I thought about what type of person she was and the entire situation. So for two years, I was a father to her daughter. I still had doubts in my mind and was very curious to know the truth. When I read this chapter and actually gave this situation some thought, there were actually two methods that I used to come to the solution that I came to. The first method I used was step 2 and that was just simply talk with people who were familiar with the problem. I sat down with a mutual friend of ours one day and I told her that I had my doubts as to whether or not I was really the father of her daughter. Fortunately for me, this mutual friend is totally unbiased towards either of us and she revealed some valuable information to me and also gave me some priceless...

...Image of Nursing Paper Sarah ITT Technical Institute NU100-Nursion Roles Due Date: October 22, 2015 Abstract The image of nursing has changed many times over the years and will continue to change until long after we are gone. “Grey’s Anatomy” and “Scrubs” have an impact on people’s views of nursing along with other medical shows. Most individuals are able to separate what they see on television while others are strongly impacted and now have a negative view on nursing. The Image of Nursing The image of nursing is forever changing. The image has changed drastically since nursing was first brought to light. This nursing student compared two articles. The first being “Changing media images of nursing is key to promoting it as a profession” and the second being “How the Media Influences Perceptions of Nursing”. This nursing student compared the similarities of these articles and found that both articles believe that people are influenced in some sort of way when it comes to “Grey’s Anatomy” or “Scrubs”. Both articles also believed that the media and guidance personnel strongly influences individuals that want to go into the field of nursing. They both state that this is due to students being told that they are too smart for nursing or how the media portrays a nurse’s salary and benefits. This nursing student compared the differences of these articles and found that in the article by Debra Wood, it is believed that people have the ability to separate what they...

...1.0 Introduction This condition could be a contract. The "contract" term can be defined as an agreement enforceable law. Like a legally binding agreement is a contract between the parties. Malaysian legislation granting of contracts is the Contract Act of 1950 (Act 136) (amended in 1974), but if there is no agreement on the purchase in 1950 for the treatment of a specific topic related to the law of the contract or when a specific topic is provided by the law and if procurement on this issue is not exhaustive, English law can be applicable to the ideals of the Civil Law Act 1956. Where the CA makes certain procedures that distinguish from English Law procurement of the CA 1950 must dominate. Malaysian law is binding contracts Contract Law 1950 (Act 136) (amended 1974). (Laws of Malaysia, 2006) Moreover, in the CA 1950, there are three ways of main contract: oral, written, or behavior. Also, the eight elements of the contract: offer, acceptance, intention to create legal relations , consideration , confidence , capacity, consent and legitimacy. And there are three basic types of contracts that are void, voidable and enforceable. A void contract is when two people declare off from the contract. Contract is voidable when one person wants to cancel the contract and turn it into a void contract. Finally, unenforceable contracts are valid contract, but may not be complying with the law. ...Essay for analysis Berthilde Banks Itt-Technical Institute Rush Limbaugh “The latest from the Feminist Front” In “the Latest from the feminist Front”, Rush Limbaugh’ main point and central claim is that “feminist was established in order for unattractive women could have easier access to the mainstream of society” and he also tells us that even though many people disagree on his position, it is the truth. He goes on to say that, “feminist leadership is basically anti-male”. And that is the big picture that Rush Limbaugh is trying to portray to us. The smaller narrower picture he is drawing for us is that strong feminist leaders are making it so that when any man tries to show, “any expression of interest in a woman it is harassment”. Mr. Limbaugh says, this is a turn will eventually be trailed upon by problems. These problems he says that will arise are sub claims of the claim that he has made . one of the sub claims that he states in this article, which will happen is that “men will become fearful about making any advances to women”. This meaning that men will reach the state where they will not be able to make differences between what is a friendly gesture or what would be considered a sexually oriented gesture. What approach is, or is not okay to initiate toward women. Another problem sub claim he states, which may or may not happen is that “with this trend he trivializes that some try to confuse casual flirts, and sexually interested gesture for real sexual harassment...

...Empty Space Justin Johnson ITT Tech – Tulsa, OK Abstract Is the lack of a subject the same thing as having a subject? When there is not a subject or the subject is “nothing” the appropriate method would be to turn in a paper with nothing but empty space. This is what happens when I do not receive homework I e-mailed about and do not have what I need to do this assignment properly. The controversy stems from if I have nothing to use as a subject, do I still have a subject to use? I say yes but you may disagree. Nothing but empty space The main points of the article talk about how if you have nothing in empty space it is different than having a vacuum or lack of existence. The first point is just because you can not see anything there it does not mean it void of everything. The second point is even if there is no matter in a specific area there can still be other measured substances. The third point is that even where it appears to be nothing there can still be an atomic weight. The fourth point is that nothing can be powerful. The last point is the emptiness is more of a matter of perspective. People assume that just because they can not see anything that there is nothing there. This is far from the truth. If I asked you to look at the edge of this paper would you say this is nothing there? There is something there. There are atoms that reflect the color white. If you are looking at this on a computer screen there are electrons converted into a...

...Does Video Game Violence Promote Aggressive Behavior Chris Foxworth Preston Hughes ITT Technical Institute Alan Cameron 6 May 2016 Does Video Game Violence Promote Aggressive Behavior Some people may say that video games and the violence that is in them, are the causes of the younger generation behavioral problems. No matter what the “issue” is with the child, somehow the focus seems to be diverted back to the media they tend to view and the games they play, but this is not always the case. According to Kennedy-Moore (2015), other factors such as family violence, parental discipline, peer rejection, and school problems are established risk factors for aggression. Few parents worry about if violent videogames will turn their children into criminals. With my personal experience, I don’t worry the least bit whether or not my children will become violent or aggressive; let alone become a criminal due to the videogames they play. If these types of games were so inspiring on the younger generation, I’d really be concerned with my son jumping off rooftops because he likes to play superhero type games like Batman and Spiderman. Another article by Dotinga (2003) that I have come across did a study of videogame violence with some teenage boys and girls. During the research study on boys and girls the researchers found that out of the 22 kids who played video games the most each day, were the likeliest to have behavioral problems, exhibit hyperactivity and have trouble academically...

...Running Head: WHAT IS ETHICAL 1 What is Ethical, and According to Whom? Raul Flores ITT Technical Institute WHAT IS ETHICAL 2 Abstract Have you ever asked your self what the definition of Ethics is? I myself have never thought of that question until this quarter. Ethics to me was always something that was moral and right. I would constantly hear people speaking with one another saying, oh no that is not ethical or yes that sounds ethical to me. I figured that they knew what they were saying and just went along with it. Before taking my ethics class I would also speak to my peers and say things like, that does not sound ethical or yes that is a very ethical thing to do. The question is; what is truly ethical? Isn’t everything ethical in a way, and according to who might this be ethical? These are the questions that we are thought to ask and to learn in ethics. I have learned that there are many types of ethics and they are all very different from each other and often disagree with one another. This paper clarifies some of the differences between different types of ethics that exist among us. WHAT IS ETHICAL 3 What is Ethical, and According to Whom? People all around the word are constantly using the word ethics or ethical incorrectly. This has started because most common people...

...Stand your ground rule Julio Martinez ITT Technical Institute Mr. Horne Abstract A "stands your ground" law states that a person may use deadly force in self-defense without the duty to retreat when faced with a reasonable perceived threat. So what's the problem with this law, it seems that since the shooting of Trayvon Martin this law got put in the spot light, or is it racial profiling. Can the press play a big part on how this law is being criticize or are they using these shooting for rating. Stand your ground rule So what is the stand your ground rule? A “stands your ground” law states that a person may use deadly force in self-defense without the duty to retreat when faced with a reasonable perceived threat. The laws expand on the “Castle doctrine,” which says that a person is protected under the law to use deadly force in self-defense when his or her property or home is being invaded. About sixty percent of the states have some kind of “Castle doctrine” or “stand your ground”. So what’s the problem with this law, it seems that since the shooting of Trayvon Martin this law got put in the spot light. Are we the people abusing this law or are we just ignorant to the law. So is this law case in particular out in the spot light because of a young black man been shot or because the shooting was wrongful. What about Jordan Davis? Did Michael Dunn have the right to shot Jordan Davis in self-defense? Did he deserve to die because of loud music? So here we have a...

Hansen ITT-Technical Institute Author Note Erik L Hansen, Department of Drafting & Design, ITT-Technical Institute, Boise. Correspondence concerning this project should be addressed to Erik L Hansen, E-mail: erikhansen26@gmail.com Introduction. The grass is freshly cut, uniforms recently pressed and washed. The summer-night-air is filled with the smell of functioning concession stands and the sounds of many conversations. Players and fans take their positions, the players trot onto the field and fans get comfortable in their seats. The show is about to begin. First pitch is thrown and a stadium relying on communication is operational once more. Foremost, this research paper will continue with the assumption that the reader understands the basics of the game of baseball and/or has been to a game. As we know every action within the stadium requires some sort of communication. The game of baseball itself is a game where the most successful team communicates superbly. Baseball relies on communication from preparation, studying, and putting the game-plan through action to in-game adjustments and secret signs. Delving deeper into the stadium we discover that the game is not the only thing relying on forms of communication. Concession stand employees will need to use their listening skills to appropriately form a customer’s order, stadium signs will properly direct fans to their...

...| When the Walls Talk: Graffiti and its effects on society | | | Fernando Gomez Cabral | ITT-Technical Institute Corona, CAMrs. DixonEN1320 Composition I | | Graffiti as an art form is a controversial subject in the art world. Is it vandalism, or is it art? Graffiti itself has come a long way from just being scrawls in a bathroom or random tags on a wall. It has been embraced worldwide by the hip hop culture as a legitimate form of artistic expression. An outlet with endless possibilities and absolutely no borders, constantly breaking barriers as it finds its way onto collector’s walls and into galleries as well as being the subject of museum exhibits. Although there are many people who say otherwise, it is so widely accepted that corporate media has utilized it as a successful way to push their products, cashing in off of the works of many prolific graffiti writers. Only making it that much harder to eradicate or buff out its beautiful images. Graffiti art originated in the late 1960’s, and it has been rapidly evolving ever since. Although it was not readily accepted as being art like that found in galleries or museums. Most of the opposition to graffiti art is due to its location and bold, unexpected and unconventional presentation, but its presentation and often illegal location does not necessarily disqualify it as art. On the contrary it draws attention and catches the eye. In most occasions, making a plain building or bad neighborhood look beautiful...

...“The Unjustified Operation Sting’s Excesses, Its effects, consequences, possible aftereffects and Suggestions to cub future occurrences. – A case study of Army veteran Edwin Gennette in the Operation Blue Shepherd” Olusegun M. Salako ITT Technical Institute, Hanover Abstract With reference to an online publication on the story of a certain Army veteran and a series of other sources of materials (online, in prints and also by employing empirical interviews and findings), that describe the minds of criminals and the procedures of the police sting operations, especially in the Pensacola area of Escambia County in Florida, USA — dubbed Operation Blue Shepherd, this research work expatiates the effects, consequences and possible aftereffects of this operations when these operations’ tactics cross the line to publicly and unjustly tag unintended victims of their online traps, sex offenders. This paper is also aimed at highlighting the different effects of verdicts of punishment on a culprit and on an innocent victim of poor investigations. This work proffers a solution in the form of suggestions to the cases of genuinely debatable arrests of entrapped individuals with obviously legal intentions as in the case of Army veteran Edwin Gennette. Operation Sting should not pressure their temptation tactics on unintended innocent victims, with the use of legal baits, in order to get them to err. Keywords: pressured temptation tactics, minds of criminals Intercepting, apprehending...

...Tuskegee Study Ezequiel W. Ferreras EN1320 - Composition 1 ITT Technical Institute ABSTRACT This paper is to prove how the Tuskegee study was morally and ethically wrong. Many of the men involved in the study died due to the experiments. This study has made it important for all patients to understand their options for treatment and outcomes and know that they have a choice. Any one can deny treatment if they wish to do so. Many doctors devote their lives to their patients and have learned from this major medical error. Tuskegee Study Some people may believe they don’t need to try as hard if they already achieved their goal, but if a physician does not do their best a patient can die and if no one did their best then there would be no doctors, lawyers or even teachers. However, when you apply the unethical concepts in this study it violates the professional code of ethics and the moral reasoning of the study. Albeit it is for a test to make history the obligations of a nurse are very important and must be followed. In Miss Evers’ Boys, physicians investigate in a medical study that takes place in Tuskegee Alabama, which dealt with watching African-American subjects discover the effects of untreated syphilis. The major objective of the study was to search for African-American males in the second stage of syphilis, and then from time to time perform exams on these men to find out the effects that syphilis had on their bodies.
