1. Explain what “proctoring” means and why the UoPeople requires proctored exams.

Proctoring is the expression of the activity of the proctor, a supervisor or monitor who invigilates examinations and enforces discipline.

The proctor is basically a trusted person whose presence guarantees the security, integrity and seriousness of the exam in its development. Furthermore he watches over the successful completion of the exam. The UoP requires proctored exams Primarily in order to verify the identity of the student who is going to take the exam. The proctor will compare the student's personal details, as presented in the Official ID, with the personal details that he/she received from UoPeople. A student will be considered
