Personalized Nutrition and Exercise Plan
The knowledge that I have gained in this course has impacted my life tremendously. The knowledge that has been gained along with the tools that I have learned have given me the ability to adopt and create a new personal nutrition and exercise plan through-out the course which has already made a huge difference in not only my life but my health and energy level as well. I have made a few changes during this course to help set myself up with a good workable plan as well as realistic goals that can be meant. My family has a history of diabetes, which is a concern to me, along with me being overweight. I am overweight by quite a bit and need to make some serious changes so that I am able to lose the weight in order to prevent any future health risks. Being at my current weight, and continuing at this weight, puts me at risk for many health risks such as heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol among many more health problems that are caused from being overweight. High levels of glucose intake and being over-weight is a sure fire starter for diabetes. In order to treat the diabetes a person needs to take insulin shots, which personally I do not want to go through this. This is one main reason I need to continue with a good and healthy nutrition and exercise plan. My weight fluctuates constantly due to my unhealthy choices of foods. It has come to the point where I know I need to lose weight and actually stick with it, but it is not in the healthiest manner. I always try to do the crash diets and always end up gaining the weight back in a short period of time. Learning the true health risks and endless nutritional needs for a persons’ body really opened my eyes since I have gained new knowledge, I now have new insights on things and

...The Effects of Meth: Psychosis Scott Houston COM/156 March, 2014 Michelle Salman The Effects of Meth: Psychosis Crystal Methamphetamine was invented in 1887. During WW-II it was widely used by both sides, The Allies and The Axis . Biker gangs in America manufactured and distributed water soluble (injectable) meth throughout the 1970’s and 1980’s. Mexican cartels opened up large manufacturing operations in Mexico and the U.S. and the abuse spread. Most people familiar with the drug knows it has many adverse effects on the user, from keeping the user awake for up to several days at a time, to delusions and paranoia. As well there are physical effects such as extreme dehydration, skin rashes, and extreme loss of weight. It is a very dangerous and illegal drug. In addition, the most severe effect of its use in large doses, or with extended use, is psychosis. Reports of extreme psychotic behavior have come in from all over the United States and around the world. Methamphetamine psychosis is a serious side effect of methamphetamine use and may seriously affect the user (Gard, 2004). Crystal methamphetamine is a powerful drug which can cause the user to feel euphoria, intense feelings of body tingle, and an overall feeling incomparable to any other illicit drug. The user, looking for the ultimate high, will generally inject the drug into the blood stream via a hypodermic syringe. Week 9 Final Analysis

...Financial Analysis XACC/280 June 29, 2014 Johnny Hamblin Financial Analysis The purpose for this analysis is to compare PepsiCo to Coca-Cola. This will be done by providing a summary of financial accounting information for each company. The information to compare each company comes from financial statements that were provided via Appendix A and B. Those numbers were then broken down into vertical and horizontal analysis as well as ratios. Once the ratios are calculated, an investor can decipher is the company is worth investing in or the company itself can make necessary adjustments to better its numbers. The information was gathered from financial statements of both companies for the year 2004 and 2005. I will provide a description of each of the companies before comparing their finances. Coca Cola was established in 1886 in Atlanta, Georgia. An Atlanta pharmacist by the name of Dr. John S. Pemberton created it (The World of Coca Cola). Frank M. Robinson, is credited with naming the beverage “Coca-Cola” as well as designing the trademarked, distinct script, still used today (The World of Coca Cola). Coca Cola manufactures carbonated and non-carbonated beverages. There are different brand names of soda, sports drinks and also well selling energy drinks. PepsiCo, Incorporated was established through the merger of Pepsi-Cola and Frito-Lay (PepsiCo). Pepsi-Cola was created in the late 1890s by Caleb Bradham. He was also a pharmacist based out of...

...these past nine weeks I have learned so much that I have truly changed as a person to try not to be prejudice towards others. In the past honestly I was very prejudice towards others just by their looks. There are many ways that diversity means for things in the world. So many things are different in the world, but that doesn’t mean we need to be prejudice about things or people. The things I have learned about my own racial, ethnic, and cultural history is that race doesn’t matter. I know that whites use to be the most popular race in the world but that has changed a lot in the last century. Whites are now the third most popular race in the world. For ethnic there are many different groups in my race. Groups like Christians in my race many people are Christians so they are considered an ethnic group. Things I have learned about ethnics are that there are so many different types of groups in the world. They don’t need to be judged or criticized. There are many ethnics about Americans. Cultural history in my race is things that have shaped the world today. Americans have come a very long way in life. They have shaped this world to what it is today. It is a strong nation, one that is always going to fight for their country. A new report from the Pew Research Center projects that immigration will propel the U.S. population total to 438 million by the year 2050. Right now we are at 303 million and the year 2014. As I have been researching over the past eight weeks about population...

Week 9 Final Acc/290

...Week 9 Final Kim Rosnik 6-21-15 Over the course of our semester, we have went over many different aspects that deal with accounting. In week 4 we had to pick a company and look at the public assets that they have and describe them per the questions that were required. For the final we have to add to the paper by answering more questions about the same company. The company that I have chosen from is still General Motors. However, we will be focusing more on the assets of the company rather than sales and company worth. We will be analyzing the company’s assets and liabilities. We will then look at these and decipher if the company would be a good investment for private investors, banks, and employees. Taking a look at the GM’s assets I can see that the company has listed their assets in the right order. A company should list their assets in this order; cash & cash equivalents, stocks and investments, accounts receivable through services, Inventory, and fixed assets. GM has listed their cash & cash equivalents first, as of March 31, 2015, as 17,190,000. They then list their Short term Investments as 8,409,000. Next are net receivables as 37,400,000. Inventory is 14,051,000. Lastly is other assets and this shows as 6,181,000. This totals to the amount of 83,231,000 in total assets. While liquid assets play a huge role, classification of the assets play a huge role as well. The classifications of assets are as follows; current, investments, property...

...Part One: Being the director of a local new station, I would cover the local story first with a high recap of the celebrity death to follow. When people tune into the news, they want to know what is happening around them first. A celebrity death will make headlines on every kind of network, but the local happenings will only be the local newscast and be more vital. The park story will have more meaning to the people of the community and could affect the everyday happenings for them. With cities closing parks 3 days a week to save money, I would want to the communities to know why and how this will change their everyday lives and schedules. How was closing the parks 3 days a week chosen to save money or some other programs that could be out there. How is the closing of the parks going to affect the city workers jobs that maintain the parks? I would also want to inform the communities of why the money is being saved and what the funds are being used for instead. It would be important to inform the people of options that they may to help get the parks reopened if necessary or who they would try and petition to help with it as well. After covering the local community story of park closures, I would cover the celebrity death with as much accuracy as I could. People will continue to talk about the celebrity death for a long time, so it can be covered after the more pertinent local story. Celebrity stories tend to be very wide spread and have enough coverage with the different outlets...

...basis over the internet. Immediate news media has had a significant effect on our culture. It allows us to get the news as it happens, and become more aware and involved. The internet would be my biggest competition, and I need to keep this in mind when making decisions for the station. The station has to try and keep up with the internet whenever possible. With this being said, I am faced with the task of deciding what story should be used as the lead story during our next broadcast. Right now I have two stories that have great potential to be lead stories. I need to come up with the solution that will benefit both the television station and the viewers. The first story is about the city council voting to close city parks three days a week to save money. With this story I would like to have as many viewers tuned in as possible, because this is an issue that could affect the lives of those who use the city’s parks. The second story is about the death of a major celebrity. I know this story will get the viewers’ attention, and it will get the station higher ratings which directly affects the station. Although, I feel the city park story is more important and relevant to my viewers, it is my responsibility to keep up the ratings of my station. My solution would be to...

...Associate Program Material Appendix J Wireless Network Plan Use the following outline to create your wireless network plan. Fill in each section of the plan as required. Deployment Scenario The best deployment scenario for this particular situation would be the infrastructure setup. This type of networking would allow the system to utilize both the wireless and wired components. This would also enable the network to utilize the WLAN for the majority of its networking needs, while still having the capability to merge a LAN into this WLAN design if needed. Deployment Scenario Rationale I went with the infrastructure networking mode due to the physical limitations within the Customer Service Call Center’s floor design. The Call Centers floor plan would allow the wireless access points to communicate with other wireless access points that are out of wireless coverage reach. For areas that are not considered mobile or require a higher level of security, the use of a wired connection can be used; while still allowing the wireless portion of the network to connect to the wired segment. What this means is, it provides a way for the wireless access points to communicate with the rest of the network, which is vital for connecting multiple wireless access points, as well as connecting a WLAN to a LAN if needed or requested. Hardware Components • Component Name: Access Point o Rationale for using component: The use of five wireless access points are needed...

...Dear Auditing Committee, I have compared what the audit and review service entails per your request. Audit Services An audit service provides financial statement users with an opinion on whether the financial statements are presented and prepared fairly in accordance with the applicable financial accounting framework (Arens & Elder, 2014). Its responsibilities are to detect misstatements in the financial statements, identify weaknesses in the internal controls over the financial reporting, and substantiate samples of the financial statements. The audit is considered the highest level of assurance for third parties because of the testing of sample items on the financial statements. The auditor can check bank statements to verify cash or physically inspect a warehouse to verify inventory. The benefits of an audit service are that it's the highest level of service that a CPA can perform. This is the service that would give the most assurance and degree of confidence that the financial statements are accurate. The audit service also can provide suggestions to improve the internal controls (What is the Difference, 2010). As part of the audit, it is required to gain an understanding of the internal controls. The outsiders looking in can give a different perspective on what can be done to enhance internal controls and what may be needed legally correct issues. The audit will also provide fraud risks to the client. The professional standard that must be performed by the auditor is...

...Home Schooling vs. Public Schooling Jill Norris COM155 October 27, 2012 Dr. Melton Home Schooling vs. Public Schooling The grand cartoonist Al Capps once said, “Any place that anyone can learn something useful from someone with experience is an educational institution.”(Capps) This statement evokes thought of exactly what defines a “school.” Can any place be called a school? Certainly the home can be called a school as there are around 1.5 million children in the United States are homeschooled. Home schooled children are able to practice their religion, can have a different curriculum, and different disciplinary actions, but both can lead to a well educated student. Public schools, even with all of their bad press, are still the most popular way to educate a child (Homeschool Or Public School? 2012) According to www.hslada.org, which provides legal analysis of home school laws, someone that is interested in homeschooling their children should follow the law of the state in which they reside. Laws governing home school education vary by state and according to the 10th Amendment of the Constitution the power to regulate all forms of education belong to the states. Homeschooling is included in this protection. The Constitution states that the federal government is not allowed to interfere with or control public or private forms of education. The progression requirements for home schooled children do differ state by state and the federal government has no laws or...

...A New House – Decision University Of Phoenix XECO/212, Week 9, Final Project April 21, 2012 Catherine Higgins The decision to purchase a home is often the most important financial decision and individual or family will be faced with. The largest single financial purchase in an individual's lifetime is often the purchase of a house and one of the largest factors of personal wealth. All ten of the principles of economics are directly related to the decision to purchase a house on some level. These economic principles will have an impact on the purchasing decision and the long term financial aspects of home ownership so it is wise to incorporate these ten principles into the decision making process to ensure a sound financial decision is the outcome. When considering the purchase of a house, the ten principles of economics that need to be addressed can be broken down into three stages of the decision making process. The first step is to examine how the decision is made by incorporating the first four principles of economics which include, the trade off that comes with every financial decision, the real cost of any item or service is what is given up to get the item or service, rational people think at the margin, and people respond to incentives. Once it is clear how the decision is made, the next three principles of economics address how people interact with economics and include factors such as, trade is beneficial to everyone, markets are...
